This is probably the best video about Parkour that's come around. It really helps people, even me (and I've been training for ~4.5 years), understand what Parkour really is, and sort of helps realize what's really going on with the society and social changes (regarding things like this)

I know Parkour isn't so popular around here (mostly cause 99% of you don't do it), but also because of the stupid videos that can come out of it, and that you guys make fun of. I'm totally okay with that, since I feel like most of those people give a bad image to what Parkour really is, so I'm hoping you guys can appreciate this video.
TEDx is such shit compared to TED. Their speeches are the same as an informative speech in public speaking I .
I don't really find this guy to be an exception.

Isn't that the whole point of TED? TEDx just consists of independently organized events.
TEDx>TED
Holding material off the site for months, if making even making it available at all, so you can sell your $6,000 tickets? I don't think so.
These kind of events should be streamed live, for free, all over the world.

I practice Kung Fu and a lot of the same things this guy talked about also apply. People have either no idea what it is (oh you do karate?) or a gross misconception about it (you're a professional fighter!). Its just an activity that pushes yourself to be the best you can be. A lot of people are just afraid of trying it because they think that they'll get hurt or that they can't do it. You just have to try. My friend and kung fu classmate also practices Parkour AND Breakdancing in conjunction in with kung fu (he's only 15) and he can do some amazing shit like aerials, hand springs, flips, and other impressive shit I'm not sure has a name.
I know I rambled a bit about kung fu but what I said also applies to parkour. I wish more people would get into these types of things because its really fun when you can pull off moves, even if they are really basic, because YOU did it. Not anyone else, but you. Its an amazing feeling.
people have misconceptions about pretty much everything.
