What a great dad. The balloon actually traveled to the Stratosphere, which is the outermost atmosphere. But that's close enough.
That's awesome. I want to see the whole footage without it spinning, though.
I want to put a hermit crab in one or somethin'.... Something to achieve first ___ in space.
I wanted to go with it :saddowns:
i have to do this.
Saw this when Day 9 mentioned it on one of his dailys.
That's awesome! Also, has anyone noticed how the camera batteries always die mere minutes before these things land? Every single video I've seen, it always happens.
Here's one that made it to the ground without dying.
Someone do the same, but attach a Facepunch logo to it.
Send a Hamster up.
Some kid should to this for a science fair, he'd be the coolest kid there.
the thermosphere is the outermost part of the atmosphere, technically the exosphere because the thermosphere is split into two parts; the ionosphere and the exosphere satellites orbit in the exosphere and the aurora borealis happens in the ionosphere jets fly in the stratosphere
That was cool, that kid has a real nice dad.
I can't believe the iPhone 4 survived that. Well done gentleman
If enough people do this we might get mid air collisions with commercial airliners fuck yeah.
Or make a balloon with a transmission jammer to block radio/TV signals :v:
Although that is quite an awesome idea, Im pretty sure you would be in clear violation of quite a number of FCC regulations.
:science:
powered by swamp gas :eng101:
