Two carts are tied together with a compressed spring between them. Cart A has a mass of 4.5 kg. When the string is cut, cart A accelerates at 2.75 m/s^2 while cart B accelerates in the opposite direction at 4.25 m/s^2. What is the mass of cart B?
My attempt:
Mass a = 4.5kg
Velocity a = 2.75 m/s^2
Velocity b = 4.25 m/s^2
I don't get what compressed spring means.
Oh do I use the netforce = ma?
