wowww
Those horrible pants, I remember my friend used to wear them back in 2004. They looked so ridiculous.
I could pull off better moves with a toy lightsaber when I was ten.
Which means I'd wipe the floor with these kids now.

Something we can all aspire to
As a practitioner of both HEMA and various japanese martial arts I'm raging so much at the guy who insisted on turning his back and doing retarded rolls everywhere.

Ah yes, the deadly battle between "anime" and "VERY anime."
not gonna lie most larpers are wicked chill
not gonna lie most larpers are wicked chill
what is a larp
LIVE ACTION ROLE PLAYERS aka they like orks and elves and dwarves and they dress up like them and then beat each other up with those foam sticks in a well orchestrated battle to the death
they used to do it at my school's library quad every saturday night, it was like a tradition to watch them after getting drunk
I've met some LARPers, they're really neat guys.
From what I've heard, LARPing is serious business in the Netherlands or Norway or one of those northern European countries. They use real (dulled) weaponry and usually keep paramedics close by in case something goes wrong.

I'm not sure if you're talking about the same thing as me but a lot of that is more historical reenactment than LARP

I'm sure it's a lot more common for them to use dulled weapons and have trained medical staff on hand when they do historic reenactments, but I've heard they occasionally go that extra mile for LARPing as well.

Can confirm, in the Netherlands its a pretty big thing. There are a set of rules you have to follow and paramedics are always around the forest where the whole thing usually takes place.
I don't LARP but i know a pretty chill guy who does it frequently, he actually makes (blows?) glass bottles and sell them in the LARP'ing community.
They even have some kind of level system where the more LARP's you join the more roles you can play.
