Apollo Astronaut Edgar Mitchell Speaks Out About Aliens on Fox

This is the second time he came out, this time he did it on Fox.
So a guy heard rumors from friends/family and uses this as "evidence" that aliens have visited earth.
While I don't deny the slim possibility that we have had extraterrestrial life in the general cosmic vicinity, this isn't evidence to support it in any way, and the likelihood of alien lifeforms visiting earth are so incredibly minute that it's silly to discuss without real proof.
Loriborn hes not just some guy, hes a credible source, if your a astronaut you know your stuff.
Edit
Hes been on the moon... he knows his shit

Please do tell me all about how you went into space.

Jefferson Davis was a well versed politician and military commander, that doesn't mean I would take his opinion on whether slavery was good or bad. Just because he's an astronaut, doesn't mean he can't be wrong, especially when being an astronaut doesn't give you access to information about that kind of shit in the first place.

"Hey I went into space suddenly I know all about alien life and have the relevancy to say there is alien life that has visited earth."
Unless there is alien life on the moon, how would he even "know" about aliens in the first place?
He doesn't even use his prior astronaut exploration as a method of evidence for saying there is alien life.
In fact his first statements are anecdotal "I had friends/family in the area who told me all about it."
I wouldn't trust a miner to tell me there is an ancient race of mole people, even though he's been deep into the earth, because there isn't proof to support him, just as there isn't proof to support Mitchell.

Yes because black people in chains is relevant to alien life and saying being a military commander is harder than going to the moon, its his competency of how much work he has had to done to go to the moon, the level of training that takes and the very few number which have gone gives extra credit to how reliable of a source he is and how would you know the intelligence levels a astronaut one one of the very few people on another body in space, i think he would need to know every thing there is to know if he where to go to the MOON.

This is an incredibly naive assumption.
Going to the moon, being an astronaut, requires training and competency, but at the end of the day, all he is is an engineer, a pilot, and to a minor extent, a scientist. How does having to endure training to push buttons in the correct order, or learning the inner-workings of a rocket, or how to work the systems of his trip, have anything to do with alien life or biology?
An astronaut doesn't/wouldn't have access to classified, heavily guarded secrets, especially when there have been a large number of astronauts in space over these recent years.
He provides no evidence, and I am more apt to wait for proof, than rely on anecdotal evidence from a guy who uses his "experience" to defend a point that he can't prove because he wouldn't have access to the information in the first place.
It's like asking a biologist about theoretical physics. They are two different realms of science. You can be smart, talented, skilled, and intelligent, and still be wrong about something.

then using your argument how is your point valid.
then using your argument how is your point valid.
What? My argument is he provides no proof and being an astronaut doesn't mean he's dissecting aliens or even seeing alien life unless there is some on the moon. (lol yeah right)
this response doesnt even make sense

and i'm yet to know one thing about you seeing as your being negative and saying every claim he states is wrong your either a bible pusher or a alien.
im sure they wouldn't provide proof to begin with
and i'm yet to know one thing about you seeing as your being negative and saying every claim he states is wrong your either a bible pusher or a alien.
What?
I don't deny alien life. I'm 100% sure there is alien life out there, the universe is infinite so obviously, astronomically, the chance of intelligent foreign lifeforms is just as infinite.
That being said, he's an astronaut, and that doesn't mean he'd know if aliens have visited the earth any more than a farmer, teacher, or taxi driver would. These are his opinions, and his evidence was "I knew some folks/family in the region," and that is in no way proof. He is just using his past experiences/profession to stay relevant to the topic, like a kid who says that, since his dad works as an engineer at the local computer shop, he knows when the new Nintendo is coming out.
He was a astronaut one of the best, hes been on the moon to say he knows less about alien life than a farmer is just stupid.
He was a astronaut one of the best, hes been on the moon to say he knows less about alien life than a farmer is just stupid.
So because he's been to the moon he knows about alien life?
There is no part about being an astronaut that involves being "taught" about government secrets about aliens. His job was to man the rocket to the moon, land, walk around a bit, and come back. That's all. He would not need to know anything about aliens because he doesn't need that information to do his job as an engineer correctly.
That's like claiming a veterinarian can perform heart surgery on a human just because he's an animal doctor and humans are animals.
These are two totally different realm of space science, an astronaut is an astrophysicist, not a xeno-biologist or whatever-the-hell-you'd-call-it.
Government secrets are meant to be secrets if they wernt secrets then we would know that they get taught about alien life, thus why would we know he was taught it if it wasn't a secret

You are incomprehensible.
I can't tell if you are legitimately stupid, or if you're typing like an idiot to be ~edgy~ like some other FP'ers, but at least they manage to be understandable; this just looks like gibberish.
If it was a government secret, a heavily guarded, incredibly important, piece of vital government information, why would they tell it to a random astronaut who doesn't need to know the information in the first place? Why would the government freely give out such a huge piece of information to a guy who wouldn't ever need the information to do his job correctly? Why would they waste the time and effort letting him know this secret, and then just let him blather it out to the world, especially when it has nothing to do with his job?
If it's meant to be a secret, they wouldn't let every astronaut and their mother know about it, considering how many astronauts we've had, this guy is just one of hundreds, and there are even more people that are much more important and versed in government shit than he is.
He's just an astronaut, he has nothing to do with the CIA, FBI, military, or any other service that would likely deal with extraterrestrial events.
There are so many other astronauts that were more famous and skilled than he is, and even more behind the scenes that are vastly more skilled and talented. Why aren't they speaking up about it?

Hes not just an astronaut hes not just a ordinary astronaut hes been on the moon, its in space you know and it would be relevant if any information about alien life even if its on the moon or is not on the moon in the slight chance of any possibility of a encounter it would be smart to inform the astronaut going on another body in space what the fuck could be out there.
maybe these astronauts take part in more than a couple of missions even secret ones?

Are you actually claiming that every astronaut that's been to the moon, all 12 of them, (and the other 12 that didn't land) have been told these "government secrets" because you think they'd need to be "prepared" to deal with alien life on the moon?
You've been playing too many video games.
"Neil Armstrong, we have to tell you, there are aliens, you'll need to be prepared. Here is your blaster rifle just in case he attacks. Just be cautious around those moon aliens"
There is no alien life on the moon, and if you believe there is alien life on the moon, (beyond perhaps some fossilized bacteria) you're an idiot. Period.
Astronauts don't go through "alien course," or learn how to deal with aliens, nor do they get told deep government secrets. There are over 500 astronauts, more than half of which are American, you think all of them were educated about dealing with aliens?
Not to mention all the physicists and doctors and intelligence officers and other scientists and engineers that would have to know as a result. And all the astronauts close friends and family.
Yet no one claims this shit except a handful of crazy old men, a good deal of which use anecdotal evidence, and provide no proof; a large number of them admit to lying in the first place.
Just because he used to be an astronaut, doesn't mean he'd know these important secrets.
[editline]5th July 2013[/editline]
holy fuck im in a thread full of crazy conspiracy theorists and idiots
I said if alien life on the moon or in space which is a very very very big place and the intel they could have given him is yeah there could be aliens or there is blah and we know its existance to any thing which we may not even be able to comprehend and these 24 people are 24 of the most elite people in space.

Astronauts don't go through an "alien crash course." Period. End of discussion.
It's silly to assume they do.
There is no proof.
No one has said anything about it, not even this guy claims it.
Aliens exist.
There is no proof that they've visited earth and an astronaut is not educated in that specific realm to have the authority to say there is or isn't, just as a physicist doesn't have authority to tell you about biology.
If you believe that he'd know anything about aliens just because he was an engineer on a trip to the moon, you're a loony bin. If you feel like aliens have visited the earth, please provide evidence other than "my friend/family told me" like this guy keeps repeating.
and there is no proof they do not.
and there is no proof they do not.
There is no proof the tooth fairy doesn't exist, but we know it doesn't because it's a silly story that has no evidence.
Something is false until proven true. That is literally the scientific method. If you argue that something is true because there is no proof that it's not true, you're going against every modern scientific principle.
Aliens have not visited earth unless there is proof that they have done so. Anecdotal claims from farmers and ranchers and family of this guy isn't evidence, just as an eye witness can't/shouldn't be relied on for an entire trial. Simple as that.

and pentagon people, you have not watched it have you nor know how many people have been to the moon and yet you know all the stuff astronauts that have been to the moon have been told.
sorry but are you seriously this retarded
what the fuck am i even reading

Are you ten years old, and/or have suffered from traumatic brain injury?
You have no authority to make crazy ass accusations or assumptions without providing proof.
Simple as that you crazy bastard.
Loriborn 2-3 people have argued against you so far making your the minority and first to resort to calling people crazy making you crazy.
remember you initially agreed with this lunatic
no i didnt
