Oh god. I'm glad I uninstalled this game when I did.
Oh god. I'm glad I uninstalled this game when I did.
Well to be clear, this video shows the effects of two mods that both make the game much more difficult when used alone. In combination they're pretty brutal. One mod causes enemies to slowly walk towards you even if they're miles away. This tends to clog narrow paths and make it so you have to fight many more enemies at one time. The second mod turns on gravelord phantoms at all times. Gravelord phantoms are extra enemies added to areas of the game that are much stronger versions of the regular enemies.
Oh god. I'm glad I uninstalled this game when I did.
You are missing out an amazing game.
Oh god. I'm glad I uninstalled this game when I did.
If you get heavy armor + havel's ring, use fast weapons, and a really high stability shield the game is actually pretty easy if it's just the difficulty you're worried about. It's 100% worth a play

Once i beat the first boss (that big guy on the castle wall) I felt amazing cause I died like 20 times trying to get to him.
I never played DS, but doesn´t the game wants you get killed or what litterally?
The game is designed to be incredibly hard, because death in Dark Souls is an inconvenience, not a punishment.
That wheel skeleton -part is straight from my nightmares.
That wheel skeleton -part is straight from my nightmares.
fuck wheel skeleton's Died like 10 times before i got to pinwheel. Shit i haven't beat the game yet, stuck on killing Nito.
Because dark souls wasn't bullshitty enough for you
Because dark souls wasn't bullshitty enough for you
It's not though? With very few exceptions (coughbedofchaoscough) it was a fair game. Hard, yes, but completely fair still.
Because dark souls wasn't bullshitty enough for you
I remember you, you wanted to use a cheat engine because you couldn't get past the gargoyles. lol
Because dark souls wasn't bullshitty enough for you
what dark souls is completely fair there are a few moments I can think of that would be bullshit, but there's really only one place in the game where it forces you to die.
It's not though? With very few exceptions (coughbedofchaoscough) it was a fair game. Hard, yes, but completely fair still.
but it isn't even that hard after you get a decent weapon and armor
but it isn't even that hard after you get a decent weapon and armor
Remind me, how long does it take to get "decent" weapons and armor?
It's not though? With very few exceptions (coughbedofchaoscough) it was a fair game. Hard, yes, but completely fair still.
I can remember quite a few instakill moments with very very subtle warnings or no warning alltogether, hell.
Remind me, how long does it take to get "decent" weapons and armor?
Pretty much all weapons and armor are decent as long as you keep them up to date by upgrading them. Dark Souls seems unforgivingly hard at first, because it usually takes quite a while before you can get into the correct mindset for the game.
I can remember quite a few instakill moments with very very subtle warnings or no warning alltogether, hell.
Do tell.
Remind me, how long does it take to get "decent" weapons and armor?
Elite knight armor is some of the best in the game, obtainable very shortly after the taurus demon with no master key, basically no fighting. As for weapons balder side sword is pretty popular and again you can get it before the gargoyles, you could also kill the cheeky merchant for the uchigatana which is legendarily good [editline]bonus[/editline] Worth noting if you're desperately bad at games and you need this shit fast or you've played the game before and just wanna power through, you can take the master key and before even fighting the taurus demon have the dragon crest shield, astora's straight sword (or uchi if you're not a cleric and ok with killing the merchant), elite knight armor, havel's ring, and the wolf ring.
I can remember quite a few instakill moments with very very subtle warnings or no warning alltogether, hell.
One time in the entire game does the game kill you without warning and with no alternative. One time. There are no "instakill" moments, they give you warning everywhere for everything, and even other players can warn you.
One time in the entire game does the game kill you without warning and with no alternative. One time. There are no "instakill" moments, they give you warning everywhere for everything, and even other players can warn you.
Seath is probably an exception, there..
Seath is probably an exception, there..
I think Seath is what he's referring to
I think Seath is what he's referring to
Oh? Not the entrance to the bridge where you meet Solaire?
Oh? Not the entrance to the bridge where you meet Solaire?
You don't have to die there and the bridge has charred corpses and gigantic scorch marks on it as a warning.
You don't have to die there and the bridge has charred corpses and gigantic scorch marks on it as a warning.
EH. So you have to run over an arbitrary line and then run all the way back behind a corner.
EH. So you have to run over an arbitrary line and then run all the way back behind a corner.
The arbitrary line is the beginning of the bridge, plus it's what I did on my first playthrough anyways.
EH. So you have to run over an arbitrary line and then run all the way back behind a corner.
It can be a bit confusing because it might make you think you're not supposed to go that way, but it's definitely not hard to make it through
Why are you guys complaining about the red drake instead of the two dragonslayer archers in Anor Londo
That was a fun, memorable challenge.. The aforementioned dragon was just there to kill you once.
This video has got me hooked on "Waltz of the Flowers" now. Such a beautiful song.
