Seriously, they played the same scream sound effect, thrice in a row...
The most uninteresting movie in the world.
Why are they turning "The Mummy" into a action movie? Why is Tom Cruise in it? Why's the miltary involved? Why did they play the same scream twice? Why?

Also the Transformers 5 trailer is also coming tomorrow. Be afraid guys.
The trailer teaser.

They're gonna keep trying the shared universe thing for the monster films, but this one looks just as bland and uninteresting as the ones that came before.
Calling it now, Cruise's gotta die to put her to rest or some shit.
This looks terrible.
- It's a mummy movie, and they show some plane crash that lasted too long. Why put so much effort into making a plane crash in a mummy movie ? It's not a disaster movie.
- modern setting... boring...
- That bus scene.. are you kidding me ?
- Military... yawn...
I watched the 1999 version when it was released. I forgot most of the film, but I remember it as an action adventure similar to Indiana Jones. I have no idea what is this one trying to be.

plot twist is he becoming a vampire
no brendan fraser

I wonder how Brendan Fraser felt watching this on the public library's computers

Why would you make, after the Brendan Fraser ones, a nearly entirely serious new film.
If you think that doesn't make any sense, they've made FOUR Scorpion King movies
i like it

Yeah i'm gonna agree, yeah it's a weirdly put together trailer but info on it so far has been quite interesting to say the least. Plus it's fucking tom cruise hunting down a damn mummy that premise alone sold me on it plus the hints of other possible universal monsters coming out to play ! [sp]From what i heard crowe is going to be playing dr Jekyll and Hyde[/sp]
it feels dirty all over

Was just being on the safe side with that information incase anyone here wanted to go in without knowing anything about the film. But it's no big deal overall.
I don't want to watch the trailer as I'm going to assume that it literally spoils everything :v: but this scene is stuck with me whenever I think of the 1999 movie.

I think it looks okay.
As a movie that isn't a reboot of an already great series.
So, the Mummy in this one is being played by Sofia Boutella, who previously played Gazelle in "Kingsman: The Secret Service".

Eh, I'll probably see it for her and not much else, like when it comes out on DVD.
Who cares?
I might be the only one on this but I sort of got an Underworld vibe from this trailer, which isn't really the same vibe I get from the older Mummy movies.
Really hope this movie doesn't give the series an identity crisis.
Of course they had to just name it "The Mummy" to confuse everyone.
I hate when they do that.

It's part of the plan.

I watched the movie again a week or so ago with my parents. This probably my favorite scene of the whole movie, but honestly, the movie as a whole is just a comedic masterpiece in my opinion.
I'll give this remake a fair chance, but I will need to consciously go into watching it not expecting anything in particular.

No Hopkins what are you doing.
It's a bummer that it's not a goofy, self aware Indiana Jones knock-off like the 1999 one, but it looks okay, if really generic
I'd rather rewatch the Fraser movies again
At least the first one was good.
I'm actually gonna rewatch the Fraser one now. Because I love me some Brendan Fraser.
