Nice that classic 90s sonic is the style of animation they chose with 90s aesthetics as the background and landscape.

It's actually supposed to be sort of a callback to the art style used for the backgrounds in the Japanese boxart of the games.

Well i hope those rumours aren't true, it sounds way too bullheaded and it might anger some of the gaming media... Just like the US Saturn Surprise Launch from two decades ago. Also yes the Opening Animation was supposed to come out a day before the game comes out.
