It could be interesting. I've never seen Pompeii get a whole lot of attention in works of fiction and there aren't many (good) movies set in Roman times. I'm probably gonna go see it.

I sort of gained a new respect for Paul WS Anderson just recently. His movies are never going to be respected for story or acting chops but I think he knows and doesn't care. He just focuses on making straight up fun movies. Death Race and Three Musketeers were both great fun.

He ran Resident Evil into the ground after RE: Extinction actually brought the series somewhere good. RE: Afterlife was a CG-filled mess and RE: Retribution is arguably one of the worst films I've ever seen. The writing is so goddamn bad I could've written a better film than Retribution.
I feel like this movie has a lot of potential that's being wasted on over the top CGI and action sequences.
At least we know he will... know nothing... about the vulcano.
