Enough is Enough, a nonprofit dedicated to confronting online pornography, child pornography, child stalking and sexual predation, published Trump’s signed pledge on Monday. Trump’s opponent Hillary Clinton refused to sign the pledge, Enough is Enough said, though her campaign told EiE that she supported its goals. “Preventing the sexual exploitation of youth online requires a multi-faceted holistic strategy with a shared responsibility between the public, industry, and government,” Donna Rice Hughes, the chief executive of Enough is Enough, said in a statement. “The need for aggressive enforcement of existing laws and adequate funding for Law Enforcement to do the job is long overdue. For nearly two decades, bi-partisan government commissions, task forces, Internet safety groups, and researchers, who have recognized the significant risks associated with unfettered Internet access by youth, and have called upon the government and law enforcement to take aggressive action.”
Source
If elected President of the United State of America, I promise to: 1) Uphold the rule of law by aggressively enforce existing federal laws to prevent the sexual exploitation of children online, including the federal obscenity laws, child pornography laws, sexual predation laws and the sex trafficking laws by: a.appointing an Attorney General who will make the prosecution of such laws a top priority in my administration and, b.Providing the intelligence community and law enforcement with the resources and tools needed to investigate and prosecute Internet crimes involving the sexual exploitation of children. 2) Aggressively enforce the Children’s Internet Protection Act (CIPA) requiring schools and public libraries using government eRate monies to filter child pornography and pornography by requiring effective oversight by the Federal Communications Commission; 3) Protect and defend the innocence of America’s children by advancing public policies that prevent the sexual exploitation of children in a manner that is consistent with the government’s compelling interest in protecting its most vulnerable citizens, within the limits set forth by the First Amendment. 4) Give serious consideration to appointing a Presidential Commission to examine the harmful public health impact of Internet pornography on youth, families and the American culture and the prevention of the sexual exploitation of children in the digital age. 5) Establish public-private partnerships with Corporate America to step up voluntary efforts to reduce the threat of the Internet-enabled sexual exploitation of children by the implementation of updated corporate policies and viable technology tools and solutions.
The Pledge in Question The pledge voices concerns over minors' access to adult content, adults exploiting minors online through IM/texting ect, and sexting amongst minors. You can read the pledge in detail above. Kids are always going to find access to porn but laws regarding minors sending nudes to adults or other minors, or getting lured by creeps do need to be updated.
Is there a reason why Hillary denied it?
Is there a reason why Hillary denied it?
Privacy concerns maybe? It mentions giving law enforcement more resources to investigate and prosecute internet child porn which I assume would include people browsing it. As far as I'm aware there really aren't many ways to find these people other than digging through a mass amount of people's browsing history or actively monitoring someone's usage.
Is there a reason why Hillary denied it?
probably because it's an anti-pornography conservative organization masking itself as a child safety group to push laws that restrict pornography in general i mean, i read the entire pledge and its already either something we already do or asking establishing more offices to 'investigate' on how bad porn is i also like how he bolded 'clinton refused to sign it' as if she is against cracking down on child porn when in reality her campaign says they support it by principle
Is there a reason why Hillary denied it?
Uh, because Hillary is clearly pro-child porn and literally the only thing keeping the rapists off your daughter's sweet, succulent butt is Saint Donatello Trumpicus' signature on this very pledge.
You're not the tricky bugger you think you are BillyMays.
2) Aggressively enforce the Children’s Internet Protection Act (CIPA) requiring schools and public libraries using government eRate monies to filter child pornography and pornography by requiring effective oversight by the Federal Communications Commission;
Welp it's gonna be hard to take any news about this seriously
Well, if that's that then it's time to ban RipBillyMays from the Internet for showing that awful suggestive furry porn to our children through Facepunch via his avatar. Will somebody please think of the children!
Will somebody please think of the children!
*unzips pants*

Will somebody please think of the children!
Hey, that's the only positive thing he has! Don't take it away!
Could be a smart move; Hillary's very prolific on child wellbeing. This might allow some kind of counter to that.
Could be a smart move; Hillary's very prolific on child wellbeing. This might allow some kind of counter to that.
Or not. She's stated that she agrees with the goals. There must be something else in there that makes her think it's shit. Though, a quick glance through their history and the 5 points make them seem pretty innocuous. And of course, we can also ask, does a Trump pledge even have any worth. Same with a Hillary pledge tbh.
The only reasonable explanation for Hillary not signing this pledge is that she thinks child porn is great and wants to see more of it. That sneaky, slippery snake! Boo!
Is there a reason why Hillary denied it?
probably a few poison pills like supporting some kind of universal porn blocker ala britain or some kind of massove censorship system to clean up the internet. these pledges are often way too nebulous to be taken at face value
Coming from a guy accused of rape repeatedly, no less.
Is there a reason why Hillary denied it?
I can't link to it, because I can't remember where I saw it, but some spokesperson said that Hillary has a policy of not signing any pledges.
I'm getting a bit of a "think of the children!" vibe when I read those points. Banning internet pornography, etc.
I'm getting a bit of a "think of the children!" vibe when I read those points. Banning internet pornography, etc.
lets ban internet pornography, instead of being responsible adults that make sure their children are exposed to the right kinds of content (like being someone with a brain that keeps google search filter to 'safe'); lets blame other for what our children see!
looks like he's got my vote /s
