They're starting this at 4AM PT? Wow, they really must care about their customers if they're avoiding doing this maintenance during normal working hours and during peak times.
Awesome stuff from Valve
Great. -7 makes it 21:00 GMT. That is so awesome. Would be better if they made the maintenance by servers or something.
Wow. That's pretty nice of them.
this is an outrage, i demand compensation
When I saw the thread title, I thought it would be about FP. :v:

Sign in before the servers go down and play a game that doesn't require Steam's intervention for four hours. It's four hours.
We're Facepunchers, we're used to downtime. Bring it, Steam.
We're Facepunchers, we're used to downtime. Bring it, Steam.
But Steam doesn't tell us to not be square and get down right now :saddowns:
It would be so awesome if they did. So awesome.
http://store.steampowered.com/news/4464/
I bet if Valve goes down and closes office, they'd also do it in a cool way and everyone would talk about how awesome it was. If I was Valve and I went bankrupt or some corporation takes over or hijacks it, they'd go with a bang. Blow up their offices with fireworks and TNT and give all games on Steam to all Steam users and let the lawyers sort it out.
