I mean, he's being a dick.
Like what they did was wrong but you're making it seem like he's doing it unprovoked.

He's being a dick.... For telling people to stop lighting shit on fire....
I say grow a thicker skin.

No, for being condescending about it.
Hats off to that guy who moved in quickly to help.
No, for being condescending about it.
So does that justify what they did to him?
Because I don't think it was condescending, but it seems that matters to you?
You are being ridiculously apologetic.
I mean at least there's loud voices yelling for it to be peaceful, seemingly coming from the protesters.
It's just bad eggs ruining it for everyone.
I'd stand up for the fire extinguisher guy. He's just doing what's right and getting beat on for it. It's sad.
No, for being condescending about it.
Yeah mate, because putting out a fire next to a bunch of cars and people and telling people it isn't that great an idea to be starting said fires in the first place is totally being condescending.
Yeah, maybe I'm just being a bit rash.

I specifically said that it was not right.
trump supporter talks about being peaceful while supporting someone who will try to rob many people of their livelihoods, trump protester stand up for him when he himself is robbed
honestly the fire extinguisher guy is the victim here, and i am most definitely not a trump supporter

the core of the message is great but he's high-horsing it up by loudly shouting about how they're all terrible for being there and protesting. It's condescending with him shouting 'YEAH THIS IS NOT HOW YOU DO IT' like he's scolding a five year old who slapped another kid over a dispute. the context of him walking out there wearing a maga hat and loudly talking at a crowd of protesters like this makes it feel like he wasn't there to put out a fire so much as intentionally spark a dumb situation like "man putting out fire has trash thrown at him by angry mob who set fire" and ended up getting a little extra oomph to his 15 minute headline. He didn't DESERVE the reaction but he surely saw the negative attention he'd get and waltzed headlong into it
Beyond that, this is another great and subtle example of 'innocent conservative making a blatant target of themselves in the middle of a riled up crowd somehow gets negative attention from a riled up protester', which was exemplified way more in the alt right dude getting punched standing dead center of what appeared to be a BLM crowd being interviewed about whether he's a neonazi or hates black people

Maybe people should stop getting violent at people shouting opinions.
Like grow up, people are so easily turned into a frothing berserker for someone who is despicable, but still following the law with Richard Spencer.
This though, this was just pathetic people who need to learn how to function in society.

Nice, not only did you victim blame but excuse the behavior of people committing the assaults.
Guess it will be okay when a poor little democrat gets surrounded by republicans and gets their ass beat for trying to shout their opinion.
No, its called being a fucking adult. You don't assault people over differing opinions, you don't steal from them, you leave them the fuck alone. These idiots actually gave him more power because they assaulted him and thus gave him attention. If they would have ignored him and moved on this clip would have prolly never surfaced.
It's pretty damn ridiculous we even have to have this discussion.

I get where you are coming from, and I am no great fan of the trump, but I mean come on the dude got punched in the back of the head for putting out a fire. So what if he was "asking for it", doesn't give anyone the right to assault a guy.

Assaulting someone for trying to do the right thing is never ok. I don't care how "condescending" he sounded. These are full grown adults. They should be mature enough to not attack someone and act like raving lunatics.

are you seriously trying to blame the dude that got his ass kicked for getting his ass kicked...for putting out a fire and telling people not to do that, and that that's not how you do it (protest for change.)
Are you seriously implying that if you did something stupid and someone scolded you after fixing the mistake, its logical to respond by kicking their ass?
come on dai, was he "just askin for it" lol
I swear some of you just pick out any reason to hate on Trump or any supporter of his.
The guy was clearly just trying to be fucking peaceful, while the protesters were causing problems.
Go fucking figure.
Not saying it's not despicable that he was attacked, but the hat, body language, and the fact that he wasn't phased by people throwing trash at him makes me think this guy could have been a provocateur, still doesn't deserve to be attacked.
FUCK.
How does everyone not immediately start ripping their masks off...
It's one thing to sneak up on a little guy like that and steal a hat, but was the extra battery necessary?
come on dai, was he "just askin for it" lol
man these responses are loaded
it was a shitty way to approach and word it, I'll totally accept that but lemme try and lay out what I'm saying:
He was being peaceful and doing the right thing, and wanted to be the bigger man and lead by example. His words and action was with good reason, asking for peaceful protest amid all the destruction, but walked very knowingly into a sea of riotous protesters- that takes balls of steel and in the end he's 100% the victim.
however, if you walk into a riot and draw attention to yourself as part of the thing they're rioting about and don't factor in the fact they could react anywhere from "mild booing" to "suckerpunch", you're foolhardy
by the end this was his body language while talking to the crowd-
[t]http://i.imgur.com/EKVigkg.png[/t]
he welcomed the jeering and the trash throwing, because it proved his point while everybody took their cameras out. After finishing the fire off all he had left was talking at the crowd like this and it snowballed bad. The dude trying to snatch the hat was probably annoyed the anti-protestor was saying the same thing again and again, and felt enabled/justified by the mob mentality being 'this guy sucks' and wanted to make it known he's not welcome. After that, the bigger fuckwit felt more empowered because someone else had already physically attacked the dude and took the opportunity when the hat snatcher dove out again. It sucks the crowd went after the hat guy instead of the dude who decked him but the confusion and anonymity of crowds like this is what makes assholes feel like they can get away with shit
[editline]e[/editline]
like I'm not trying to justify the violent actions of anybody here but the tl;dr boils down to that saying about not playing with fire unless you know you could get burnt, even if the figurative (and literal) point he was making was the fire shouldn't be happening in the first place
doesn't matter, still not the bad guy here

if you go to the wrong place and get your ass kicked by a bunch of guys for it, it's not because you're an idiot - it's because the other guys are assholes.

If you walk into a anti-trump mob and disrupt their protest while wearing a symbol of trump support you're either incredibly naive of the dissent going on in the country or trying to provoke a response, people have actually faked mob attacks against pro-trump people, maybe I'm being cynical but it wouldn't surprise me if that was exactly the response the guy was after.
The way some of you demonize trump supporters - no wonder your country is divided.

Many on each side view the other side as demons while they themselves are angels.
