It occurs to me this place has become some sort of terrible mashup of 4chan and bb.com only without the massive community to justify retardation by design. Yeah its funny and yeah it seems to be the one place on facepunch where the nature of posting is relaxed and not subject to attack by pedantic nerds with nothing better to do, but its also a big pile of shit. a pile of shit with some gold nuggets is still a pile of shit, and as such we have like what... 12 active posters and one active thread that is basically a loop of "ye did squats today" "protein fart smell atrocious" "seith topped me off in the gym bathroom"
Im proposing we clean this place up, and perhaps expand the content to cover a much broader range of health ans fitness topics including medical problems and mental/social issues. Wrt the sticky ill rewrite it at some point.
Thoughts? Any of our mods want to weigh in?

We needz more posters and updated sticky info. I think some older stuff you have said contradicts what you now say.
It's still good though. Better for us find out what we need to know here, even if the info trickles in, rather than be mislead by a expensive poorly trained trainer.
We should have an health sticky in general discussion or fast threads directing the posters that give half a shit bout themselves here

I'd be all up for more mods regulating this place and banning for shitposts. Reading through the Weightlifting/BB thread is obnoxious most of the time.
The way it is in those threads is fine, if you were to ask a question in there i'd answer you typing normally but if i'm have a conversation with the bois then i'll type however i want.
I'm all down with typing like the cool guys, but when it's just straight-up irrelevant shitposts then it gets obnoxious.
Make a chat thread seriously, between one year ago and now the amount of shitposting in weightlifting general has risen exponentially.

We had more posters that got turned away by invariably either the retarded nature or me and others being aggressive pricks in response to shit they didn't know. To be fair, 9/10 I was joking but they dont know that.
Anyway, what purpose does this thing serve? If we want to be retards while occasionally talking about lifting heavy things, misc and /fit/ already cover that infinitely better.

I think a lot of people are used to the seriousness in other sections, here's actually quite a welcome change. Not everyone will "get" it at first, it's kinda similar to the gmf

i like the attitude in here. But we all know that, what's on hand right now is support. active support that is aka you go and open a log here for example of your training, a thread on general discussion to invite people in, more pictures posted of yourselves, more questions asked and videos !!
I would be okay with turning the main "bodybuilding" thread into a general fit/chat thread, since that's what its used for anyway. People go there for diet tips, people go there for workout music, people go there to chat about all sorts of fit nonsense. Or you could have separate threads... like a diet thread, music thread. There's a music thread but people are still posting playlists in the BB thread which doesn't make sense to me.
We also definitely need to update the sticky. This is a small forum, so you guys should be able to figure out what you want.

when i read through this forum i feel like everyone's just awesome bros with each other. no one takes themselves too seriously, there's plenty of knowledge that everyone has and can share when someone actually needs it but when people don't you can still just post random shit, have some giggles and bond a bit. when someone new (or old) posts a thread asking about X diet and nutrition or how X exercise works, they get legitimate answers that are made mostly by people who have enough experience to back what they're saying. the knowledge is just hidden deep under all of our swole exteriors
