But Obama is a terrorist and Romney is a man with standards
* Obango
That was new view on an old subject.
Not a huge Obama fan but incredibly well done video that marries art with cold hard fact.
Barack, why were you not this eloquent at the debates? You would have fucking KILLED it!
I love the style, but this seems like it would have been more appropriate four years ago.
Running into a second term, it's really odd/counter-intuitive to completely glaze over any potential good he's done in the four years, instead of focusing on the bad past. :v:
I will admit that was pretty good. I wasn't thinking about voting this year but maybe I will.

Because this is a speech, one he likely didn't write himself.

Doesn't help his case that unemployment is still 7.8%

Why the fuck wouldn't you vote in the first place?
Why the fuck wouldn't you vote in the first place?
Because I felt like I wasn't too passionate about one side or the other.
Why the fuck wouldn't you vote in the first place?
Because there are so many flaws in our voting system that you may as well be putting your votes in the trashcan. Don't get me wrong, I'm still going to vote, but I can understand why people would be less than enthusiastic.
Why the fuck wouldn't you vote in the first place?
Uninformed people should not vote.
That's the problem with our political system, that we encourage everyone to have a "voice".

wat...
It doesn't matter if everyone has a voice, it doesn't do anything. The problem with our voting system is that only big states matter.

-My Mom.
That was very well done animation that should have less trouble driving the point home.

I openly admit that I don't think I am informed enough to vote this time around. People get mad and say I need to vote because its my duty.
If the results of what he talks about are so clearly shown, why aren't things changing? I'm not speaking against him, but question why the U.S government still operates as if this problems are unsolvable? I follow politics, but don't completely know how the entire system works. Why aren't things changing?

Republicans and rich people who use every opportunity to block anything that changes the status quo.

They are. The Dow jones is constantly rising and more people are getting work. In addition, more is being spent on infrastructure and development.

They block their own bills too if Obama considers it a good idea.
For example, the veteran job training bill a couple weeks back had the five republican co writers vote no on it.

Thanks to the brilliance of Austrian economics that, which since its inception, have fucked over nation after nation that's adopted it.

Please don't ever discuss economics again if you want to even slightly suggest that the United States is run on or that its policies are inspired by Austrian economics whatsoever.
Nearly every politician and economic adviser is a Keynesian of some device. Hell, even Milton Friedman can be classified as Keynesian of some devise.
Get the fuck out or take a principles of macro course.
[editline]9th October 2012[/editline]
Hurr durr stimulus totally Austrian right
[editline]9th October 2012[/editline]
Federal Reserve with job of adjusting interest rates to control unemployment and inflation hurrrrrr Austrian
[editline]9th October 2012[/editline]
The easiest way to know if someone is talking out of their ass about economics (90 percent of this forum) is to see if they contrast Austrian and Keynesian economics by claiming that one is free market and the other isn't.
Keynes was a free market economist in the long run, he just believed it was inherently unstable in the short run.
Yet people will go as far as to believe that Keynes was the next step from socialism or that he had a disdain for capitalism. A general history of economics should be required to pass high school.

Because they have higher populations, hence the problem I've brought up before. And the electoral college votes with the general population 99% of the time if that's your argument.
What I'm bringing up is not an issue with policy but rather an inherent philosophical flaw of democracy.

Actually, it's not even that. The electoral college makes some states matter ridiculously more than others, but not necessarily the biggest states.

While we're at it, our ballot sucks; first past the post is the worst system for many reasons, though I think the currently most relevant one is that it encourages a two-party state over time. I'm personally partial to a ranked ballot, but just about anything is better.

uninformed people only make up a small amount of the electorate.
