Why the Next Generation of Drivers are Gonna Kill Me - General

So you know those go kart attractions at many amusement parks? [IMG]http://www.jongraves.com/uploaded_images/DSCF1199-777737.JPG[/IMG] Those things. Anyway, so today was a nice warm day at Boomers (a little amusement park franchise with arcades, mini golf courses, etc.). I find myself racing my friends at the end of a long day. Only bad thing so far was that there were these little kids talking about MW2 and annoying stuff. Little did I know they would screw up this fine Saturday. I get in the first kart so I can have an edge over my buddies. I notice that the prick behind me was jamming on the accelerator while the employees are making sure everyone's seatbelt is secured. I turn around to see that one of the little kids is hitting my friend which in turns hits me like a pendulum I guess. I put on a scowl that results in his laughter. Race starts, all is well. After one lap I find myself tailgating some scary redneck dude who is tailgating the kid. I can't really see except the bumper of the redneck. Apparently redneck dude clips the kid's back left which causes him to spin out. Next I find myself racing into this noob at mach 1 (20 mph). My glasses fly off but luckily I catch them. My head is throbbing since I hit my noggin. After that I speed off back into the course. But before that I give a little look at the kid for not knowing how to drive an automobile. Some parts are exaggerated but it is mostly correct. Every time I go Karting I seem to get the slowest kart available. Everybody else zips past me at outrageous speeds while I turtle along, accelerator slammed to the floor. And because karts are very small, and I am very not, every time I bump into something, one of my awkwardly positioned knees slams out all my teeth.

I run Gocarts sometimes where I work, the other day some dumb black 7 year old AFTER I TOLD HIM TO KEEP HIS FOOT ON THE BRAKE, hits the gas and wedges my left ankle in between HIS car and ANOTHER car. Had to file an accident report and go to the hospital. I'm still hobbling around.
