A good friend of ours believe that we are too harsh on Christians and people of other faiths when we discuss irrelevent topics. We're not too hateful of Christians, right? How about we use this opportunity to show that we are mature and respectful of other peoples beliefs, not further dig our hole of stereotypical atheist bullshit.

We are very harsh on Christians. I think we should learn to accept each other's religions. And then join my snake-charming cult.

I'm actually Christian but I really don't pay attention to it since pretty much everyone on here is just an angsty teenager who thinks they're some idealist and has the world all figured out and knows what's best for everyone.

I don't even see why we bother discussing bullshit like this. In general, people are too stubborn to see either side of the story or listen to what others have to say, everyone thinks they're correct and nobody else is, and people have a habit of taking things out of context, proportion and making horrible similes that have no bearing upon the argument at hand (I'm generalising heavily here, of course. Not everyone fits this but enough people do for it to be mostly true). Everything degrades into a hurricane of faecal matter, and people get banned. People rage and hate for no reason and society doesn't progress in any way. tl;dr stop.

Generally I don't care that somebody is a Christian, even if I do think their beliefs are pretty dumb. I do get pissed the fuck off when they try to make it political or scientific, though.
