Gun Store Owner Repels Theives Who Crash Van Through Wall - Polidicks

Aiken County Coroner Tim Carlton said Goodwin died of gunshot wounds shortly after arriving at Medical College of Georgia Hospital. The two other suspects were found at Waffle House on Martintown Road, about three miles away. Investigators said the men, who had both been shot, stopped at the restaurant to seek help. Eddie Stewart, 30, of Columbia, and Franklin Robinson, 27, of Gadsden, S.C., were taken to a hospital. Details on their injuries have not been released. Aiken County sheriff’s Sgt. Jason Feemster said it appears that all of the stolen merchandise was in the van. Hours after the incident, a construction crew worked to repair the damaged wall. Parts of the ceiling and glass from display cases still littered the floor. The store owner said it was not the first time the store has been a target. In 2009, the store was burglarized. Shortly afterward, Bayazes and his wife moved into an apartment in the back. Bayazes, who was not injured, declined to be interviewed. Feemster said Bayazes was within his rights to use lethal force in accordance with South Carolina law. “If someone is breaking in your home or business, you have the right to defend yourself and not retreat,” the sergeant said. That's not too far from me! I have eaten at that Waffle House a couple times before too. Also, not the first time people who have been shot stumbled into a Waffle House around here.

They were in such a sticky mess, why not the waffle house to get it stickier.

I've said it before in another thread and I think it's scary to do it. Australians have strict gun laws, I feel safe to walk around the city not fearing my life, not needing a knife or something to help me. Just me and my phone, but I've never been robbed, threatened or stabbed - and it shall remain like that.

Basically if the serial number is registered, you have a class-3 permit and the tax stamp, and don't mind randomly being searched to make sure the gun (and its stamp) is still there, you can own an automatic weapon. I'm not entirely certain if this covers such things as Mac10s, Uzis, or automatic Glocks, but I know a guy with a class-3 who has an automatic M16 and (of course) an AK. As you said it's all just for fun and the heavy regulation insures nobody but the biggest idiot in the world would use their automatic gun in a crime. Arguably anybody willing to commit such a crime in the first place is a huge idiot anyway, but that's not the point.
