http://vimeo.com/16340475 Made by some friends of mine, pretty awesome. Recorded using a Canon 18-55 and Sigma 70-300. Won't media tag it, go watch it in HD on vimeo instead. Here's more awesome slow motion from the same author: http://vimeo.com/16026120
Mindblowing :aaaaa:
0:50 It honestly looks like he's flying.
Their parents must've been pissed when their son came home only to see him covered in mud and water,
That was amazing.
Does the 550D actually have high-speed capabilities, or is that purely the work of Twixtor?
Does the 550D actually have high-speed capabilities, or is that purely the work of Twixtor?
Looks like mostly the work of Twixtor. As far as I know the 550D does up to 60fps, whilst the video looks like it's simulating something like 500fps+.
I wish I had all the equipment you have, I would really love doing this sort of stuff
That was actually really good. Do you do that professionally or just for fun?
It's not made by me, it's made by the author on Vimeo, Rickard Bengtsson. And I think he does it for fun :]
Wonder where that's shot at, it's beautiful. Great video.
I really want a slo-mo-capable camera just to dick around with it. Too bad I'll never be able to justify the money for something I'll never do seriously.
This is fucking awesome
Title made me think tits... I was pleasantly surprised...
Its a program called Twixter it can make slow motion footage out of normal footage by blending frames
Its a program called Twixter it can make slow motion footage out of normal footage by blending frames
I'm very impressed if it made this out of a 60 FPS video.
fixed the op
Quality is higher on the video itself I think
I want a good camera for christmas
Pretty cool.
To reiterate, this isn't a highspeed camera, it's a Canon DSLR recording at 60fps. Then they use Twixtor to slow it down some more.
I wonder how a camera recording at 24fps would look...
Not entirely sure, but obviously the more frames the better. I think it's time for me to bust out the D90 video feature.
Psh need After Effects or other programs to even use Twixter, I wish it worked with Sony Vegas, anyways try a 24fps test out for me.
Wow, that was infinitely better than I thought it would be.
I'm very impressed if it made this out of a 60 FPS video.
Twixtor is really powerful for what it does. The demo video up on its site has been there since 2005, and its use of Twixtor is still holding up incredibly strong. It's up in the same price bracket as a 60FPS-capable camera, but it's worth the dosh. I'm jealous of OP's friend's camera.
fixed the op
Ruins the video by not watching it in HD, read the OP. [editline]1st November 2010[/editline]
Wonder where that's shot at, it's beautiful. Great video.
It's shot in Ödåkra, situated in the southern part of Sweden.
This makes me want to make my own videos in HD and do something awesome.
