I agree with him that bugs are only funny when they aren't intended
I think he missed the part where the game was originally a joke and it's fans who insisted on the game being actually made and sold.
I think this game was ordered by all "hilarious" youtubers so they have new game to show of their talents.
I don't really mind Goat Simulator, but I hope this doesn't start a trend. If this game becomes popular enough I'm afraid we might see a lot more intentionally buggy games that take less effort than functional games.
This game seemed hilarious and I was looking forward to it. Then it came out and I watched someone play it on twitch, and I was bored out of my ass in less than fifteen minutes. The world is really tiny.
Has TB not figured out yet a lot of games don't support quad sli well? He needs to turn off SLI, not like 1 Titan is seriously going to put a damper on what he can play. Also not surprised he has no sense of humor and took the edgy route to hate this game. It's just a silly sandbox thing that people demanded to be released. It really shouldn't be looked at so cynically.
Also not surprised he has no sense of humor and took the edgy route to hate this game.
I have the sense of humor of a ten-year-old. I have yet to get a laugh from this game, at all. And keep in mind this is coming from someone who is subscribed to HelixSnake. You'd think I'd be laughing to tears from a game like this but so far nothing. Not even Helix's videos of this game made me laugh.
I think he missed the part where the game was originally a joke and it's fans who insisted on the game being actually made and sold.
I personally wouldn't spend $10 on a 'joke' game.
Because you aren't "haha wow thats embarassing for the developer" along with funny visuals. Goat Simulator is the definition of trying too hard

Surgeon Simulator is rather superior to the goat game though.
I personally wouldn't spend $10 on a 'joke' game.
Then don't, no one forced you to.
So far the only two games to have done this were Surgeon Simulator and Goat Simulator, both of which having started as joke games. His stance isn't surprising at all, considering how he's pretty much the complete opposite of the game's target audience.
I see his points and such but i feel he's kind of taking it too seriously. But again, valid points, so it's no biggie.
It's a game jam game that was made in a couple of weeks and was only made because people saw their original joke video about it and asked for them to make it real This was never a serious title, and expecting the game to have been any better than it is would've been a waste of time and resources It's a joke, it was never meant to be anything more than a joke, and whether you find that joke to be worth $10 is up to you
That's because the bugs in SS weren't intentional, the fun came as a result of the cumbersome controls, not to mention it didn't focus on the bugs that were there at all.
Um have we played the same game Surgeon Simulator was entirely based around being a frustrating, badly designed piece of shit. Goat Simulator does the same thing, except instead of having bad controls, it has bugs all over. I bought both games for 10 bucks and thoroughly enjoyed both of them.
Eh, I think for something that was designed to be a gag, a critique like this is a bit overkill. I don't think anyone would argue that Goat Simulator is a good game, because frankly it isn't. But it's not trying to be. And as for the humor, your mileage may vary, etc. Yeah some people may think it's $10 worth of funny, others don't.
How about this It's perfectly laid out on the Steam page and the website what exactly you're going to get out of your money. At no point do they compare it to a triple-a title or expect it to be treated as such, they pretty much say you're an idiot for thinking this People will pay good money for this. People who want to see this will pay good money for this. People who don't? They won't buy it. If you don't like it, don't buy it. If you buy it and get frustrated, that's your own fault. You knew exactly what you were getting. I haven't bought it yet, but do intend to, and, well, so what if it's intentionally buggy or too over the top. Some people like that sort of game and want to play it. So they will. Just because they can support the developer so he can actually make good games doesn't make it a bad thing. If you come out disappointed, you bought the wrong game
I like TB but he took this way too seriously
he's kinda being a dick and bashing the game a bit too hard considering the game was purposely made to be stupid [editline]3rd April 2014[/editline] holy shit this guy has no sense of humor
Because you aren't "haha wow thats embarassing for the developer" along with funny visuals. Goat Simulator is the definition of trying too hard
Goat simulator is the definition of retarded. Honestly, it shouldn't have been made and im praying that this doesnt start a trend of similiar games. Honestly, what has gaming become with shit games like these? We are heading towards another crash... Steam really needs some quality control and the faster games like these stop being released there, the better.
Weird thing is, TB really liked One Finger Death Punch, which is basically a shovelware flash game that you play with two clicks. It's fun as hell but also dumb as fuck.
I think it's stupid how he compares it to huge games like Just Cause 2 which was made in quite a lot longer time with a couple thousand times bigger budget.
Weird thing is, TB really liked One Finger Death Punch, which is basically a shovelware flash game that you play with two clicks. It's fun as hell but also dumb as fuck.
Thats the point, Death Punch was fun but Goat Simulator isn't. Goat Simulator is a joke.
Goat Simulator is a joke.
Yes it is. That's why it exists.
A joke on wacky sims. Thing is, sarcastic wacky sim is still a wacky sim, even as a joke, and placing a price tag on it makes you in no way better than what you're trying to make fun of.

There's no getting around that so it's pointless to bring up.
thanks TB if you didnt make this video i may have wasted $10! thats my entire weeks pocket money!! thank god i didnt waste money on this game
Yes it is. That's why it exists.
And thats why it shouldnt.
