(also nobody died and the pilot walked away with minor injuries)
HOLY SHIT! Did not expect the back to just break off like that!
I don't understand what caused that to happen
Why the fuck would you use a helicopter in that sort of environment?
If you look to the right pillar, i think the blades collided against it.
Yeah I see that now.
What the hell was he doing that close to the tower?
He couldn't, you know, slack out the line a bit?
Wow the chopper shook with such high g-forces that even the pilots seat broke off before it was hit by anything.
Edit: I finally found out what the chopper blades hit. There was a small really loose cable coming from above the chopper. I wonder why the fuck it was there. You can see it moving next to the rotor axis right before it hits.
If you look to the right pillar, i think the blades collided against it. Well it's not a pillar, but you get the idea.
Actually the cause of the crash was the blade colliding with a tick metal wire which snapped off and coiled itself around the rotor and poof!
lol dem euros

Seriously
[editline]23rd November 2011[/editline]
Tell me you're kidding
That's one lucky bro.
It looked so much like he fell right out and almost into the rotors, but he was somehow still in the chopper in the end.
wow you can actually see how much forces the blades gives
The way the cockpit exploded in different parts
That pilot is insanely lucky

Hey it's cool, we have them in Britain, too!
They're fun to laugh at.

Blade contacted pole to the right

causing it to rotate and the tail hit the metal structure on the left which broke the tail
holy shit the pilot must've shat his pants. it happened so damn fast.
That is a pretty bad pilot. Im glad nobody died.
he's actually a really fucking good pilot for managing to maneuver in an environment like that without instantly smearing the helicopter
It's a Christmas Miracle!

It didn't hit any metal structure, otherwise it would have been torn apart or at least been jerked by the blade enough to notice it in the video.
It was the tiny metal wire that coiled up in the center of the rotor throwing it off balance. If you look at how the crash happened you see the center being thrown off balance right when you see the wire touch the top of the blades.
You wouldn't believe how easy it is to cause a helicopter to crash just by doing this. You know when you had those radio control cars as a kid? Even the tiniest sewing thread would cause the wheel to jam and was a pain in the ass to get out.

We can't laugh at them as much, they're our politicians.

watch this area of the video, you'll see a wire fall into frame for a brief moment before the helicopter starts wigging out
speaking of wigs, though, the pilot lost his hat
The crashed was caused by a metal cable, it's been established and was reported on the news. Now stop arguing :v:
Jeez, the way it shoot right before the helicopter fell...*shiver*
