I don't know why but they just creep me out while amazing me at the same time.
This looks absolutely amazing.
I don't know if it's just me, but I really think the way they're doing the facial capture and stuff is actually a bit too realistic. It just doesn't fit in with the rest of the game, which even though is really good looking, just isn't enough good looking for the heads to fit. It just makes the heads look weird, out of place and sometimes even creepy.
It looks really abnormal.
Well, I gotta agree. The faces look somehow weird in the environment. That world looks like a game should look but the faces are like from CGI movie. Not saying it's bad, just different.
I remember playing goldeneye and hoping that one day people's mouths would move.
This is really cool.
Isn't that the guy from Fringe?
3:22 That guy from The Walking Dead?
And that other guy was a cop in the Dark Knight, and a Russian mobster in Sons of Anarchy
What will really be interesting is how they tie this into a dialogue system. Multiple choice responses would still eliminate a lot of the usefulness of this, but there are very little other options.
I agree that the faces look odd.
lighting sux.. and it's main part of realistic.
p.s
add this technology to Crysis 2 ;D
Fuck, I can't wait for this game.
Shit looks amazing
Sickest ingame acting i have ever seen!
Holy shit! The way the faces sort of wrinkle up and everything is just stunning.
The facial capture really doesn't fit with the rest
And those low-res textures.
Rockstar really put their money in the right stuff this time. This looks amazing. I hope other games start to do this aswell.
Hey, it's the voice actor of Harbinger from Mass Effect 2 at 2:28.

But yeah this game looks sweet as hell. I didn't pay any attention to it until now. Now I'm excited.

Yeah the textures could look a bit better, as with all of Rockstar's games, but the rest looks amazing
Wow...this looks so much better than lip syncing or anything like that.
Hopefully game developers take this direction from now on.
Holy shit. That's so awesome it almost looks fake. Since it's still in development, all the models and textures are lower quality than the final product. I'm pretty confident those faces don't stand out all creepy-like when it's released.
Also, in before GTA 194... Wait... Mafia- Erm. Oh, fuck it.
The heads look separate from the body, they don't flow together like a normal human being's would. At most times you can see the body remaining almost completely still yet the neck and head are making these drastic movements that don't sync to the body at all.
Well they got the animation down, now make the graphics actually believeable.

Yeah, the main problem is that the facial animation is even too good. They still need to reach such smooth and realistic animation with the bodies before adding it to the faces.
Uncanny valley whats upp
Eerie, but cool at the same time.
I'm so glad that they are focusing on animation over graphics, especially in a game that's story driven.
Looks good but bad at the same time. The faces look like one solid color, and sort of cartoony compared to the rest of the graphics.
