It makes me feel funny, sad and endearing, all at the same time, and its such an uncomfortable sensation, i cant describe it.

I know that you're probably talking about waifus or something, but psychologists have been legitimately trying to figure out how to stop this, because it's taking lives in places where it's supposed to save them. A good example is soldiers risking their lives to go try and save a bomb defusing robot that was really popular with the squad, and then grieving over "scooby doo" when he got destroyed by an IED as if he were a real person.

:smug:
Does this mean that they understand the concept of death? If so, do they depressed and anxious? Do they know that they're going to die?
correct me if im wrong but is that David Tennants voice i hear?
It is indeed
Does this mean that they understand the concept of death? If so, do they depressed and anxious? Do they know that they're going to die?
A lot of animals understand the concept of death, some more than others obviously, but I believe most animals fail in realizing that they themselves can die.
Like Dogs or cats, they know if an owner has died or not, they grieve, but they themselves might not know that death can happen to them.
[editline]edit[/editline]
Not sure if primates are any more advanced in that area, but I do think they understand the concept better than most other animals.
but they themselves might not know that death can happen to them.
How do we know this? How can one tell if an animal is aware of self-death concept or not?
