State Trooper pulls over driver of unsafe Ford Pinto - Polidicks

While I'm all for driving old cars, come on man. That thing needs a LOT of work before it's fit to drive. Looks to me like the rear axle is held in by pure dumb luck, not to mention the fact that if he turns right too hard he has the fuel tank in his lap. Sad thing is they're probably going to scrap this car.

The chances he was driving one that wasn't upgraded are slim to none. But I suppose it doesn't matter. Society only remembers the early years of them. Still a shame to see it scrapped. There's collectors, crazy I know, that would snap that thing up in a heartbeat. Hotrodders, too, since it's so rusty you can carve huge swaths out of the thing to make room for fat drag slicks and a big block.

But then some out there are pretty crazy, so who knows.
