Starship troopers anyone? Looks like they made some nice progress on the game since last time.
I still think the movement system is overly goofy with how your feet are heaviest part of your body. Weight should shift depending how you're hit and you should land flat on your face half the time, not at a slant with your feet on the ground with this awkward self righting method.

I just got the settlers package. I'm pretty excited for this game, looks like it has a lot of potential.
I CAME EVERYWHERE OH GOD IT'S ALL OVer the walls help i want to back this so hard whoever pulls me away from it will be crowned the next king of england
When I posted about this it just suffered a cruel death. Anyway, you do know that they might add pogo sticks (or even chainsaw pogo sticks if it gets enough votes)? [editline]31st October 2012[/editline] Yey, 302th post is about chainshaw pogo sticks http://starforge.userecho.com/forum/14697-the-derp-vote/
Wow this game looks amazing, literally just backed it on that site.
Just donated 15 dollars. I really want to see this as a full game.
This is amazing. Its like something you'd dream about.
They still move like drunk toddlers
the whole "pay for tilesets" thing is really rather unnerving.
the whole "pay for tilesets" thing is really rather unnerving.
It's not F2P anymore. Now you won't have to pay for them.
I remember reading StarForge was F2P? - On October 10th, 2012, StarForge went from Free2Play to being sold as a full game. You just have to buy it once and you get all the updates free until release(free updates do not include exclusive Founders Club Perks). - StarForge is sold as full game. It used to be Free2Play but we decided that model did not work best for us as we are a very small development team of three. We did not want our game to be pay2win in anyway, so we weren't willing to compromise by selling critical in-game elements. - Anyone who purchased Hatch Points before this will be able to log in as a full game owner. Founders Club members still recieve their exclusive perks and some other new perks. As well as a second copy of the game.
Does anyone know if you can build moving stuff?
Wow game is already 2/3 funded in only a couple of days.
I'm sure they'll hit the goal. It would be great if they could get at least 200k by the end though.
I played the demo and it was boring as fuck imo.
Unique In-Game Game Axe, Pick-Axe, Pistol, and Winch Gun
Winch gun sounds like grappling hook to me, and that would be bullshit if only people who paid 75 bucks or more would get that.
No, you just get a unique variant of it wich you won't be able to acquire in-game but the Winch Gun will actualy be used during block building so everyone has it. The hook feels more like something you'd attach to a platform or vehicle in order to be dragged by from what I understood by the description in the blog.
I like the concept, but physics based movement is really off-putting, sure you can do more dynamic and cool things than in most games, but getting around is just cumbersome.
