Book Spoiler:
[sp]That first shot of the dragon over the red keep is a nice misdirection for non-book readers[/sp]
That looked a lot more faithful to the book than I thought it would.
I haven't personally read the books, but my friends have told me season 4 should have a lot more action than season 3. Doesn't look like I'll be disappointed.

I hope that doesn't mean less politics
Damn it doesn't come on till April, it was March 31st last year.
Sooo long to wait
I hope that doesn't mean less politics
I'd ask a guy I know who seems to have the books memorized, but this is the response I got after talking about GoT with him last time:

I wrote "John Snow" :suicide:

It's an even mix,the politics are just as important.
I'm super confused as to how they'll do Season 5, as Book 4 and 5 are one book that requires each chunk (The side stories in Book 4 and the main plot of book 5) to make one giant story. That means that they're going to have to spread out over a bunch of seasons.

or they could just make the seasons longer. I doubt anyone would complain about that.

I say keep it like this considering books take awhile to write
[editline]12th January 2014[/editline]
of course it depends on how many books will be written on game of thrones

Not sure if anything has been announced yet, but my theory is they will spread both AFFC & ADWD over 2 seasons but merge the timelines, so events from ADWD will show up in season 5. At some points in Season 6 the timelines will meet up as they do in ADWD.
I mean, a whole season of just The Real Housewives of Southern Westeros won't work well.
[editline]13th January 2014[/editline]
Here's a good idea for how the timelines can be merged from the below website. At some point you would need to split between Season 5 & 6 (or maybe Season 7).

Yeah, there is no way that they can not merge them. While I love AFFC, there is no way they can hold an audience with its content alone.
[sp]I hope coldhands shows up[/sp]
I am excited, but to be honest I don't really know what they're going to do afterwards.
A Feast For Crows is honestly really boring, and it is a complete struggle to get through. That is such a stark (no pun intended) contrast to the first 3 books, which I couldn't stop reading.
It's just, well, [sp] the good guys lost. What is the point of reading if all the good characters are either dead, exiled, missing, or turning into pricks? There is nobody to really root for anymore, and even the "good characters" just spend the book mucking about. It's gonna get even worse when Jon Snow dies, something that I got spoiled (albeit I asked for it and honestly, I don't think I would have been able to read to that point anyways on my own)[/sp]
Serious Series Spoilers because people love to request "put what the spoiler is about" because they have no fucking self control.

[sp]I can see it now, everyone falls in the love with the red viper now that robb is dead. Then BAM gets his head punched in by the mountain and the tears flow again.[/sp]

Nice to see they got the mountain back.

[sp]In the book Season 3/4 is based on the Dragons never reach Westeros[/sp]

whoops maybe I should have put spoiler tags on that

[sp] read a theory somewhere that by having him 'dying', they're releasing him from his duties with the night's watch [/sp]
April 6th seems so far away!
IT WOULD BE SWEET IF WE COULD AFFORD FUCKING HBO WOE IS ME.
About (trailer spoiler) [sp]the dragon flying over King's Landing. It looks like it's a model of the city not the real thing.[/sp]

For real AFFC onwards is just not fun to read, and would be less fun to watch. They're very obviously going to be changing a shit-ton from this moment onwards, and if they don't their ratings will plummet.
...What? A Dance With Dragons is like, one of the best of the books? (Well other than editing, it was rushed)
