Developed by Kylotonn Racing Games, it looks better than the previous game by Team 6. Although that's not saying much, everything seems to be in place so far.
It doesn't look TOO bad.
I'd have to see more gameplay to be sure though.
In all honesty, looks pretty good. Is it going to be available on PC? Can't seem to find anything to say so.
I don't think that Flatout is a series that can be adapted to the modern games market. The originals were great in their day, but games didn't have to have much to them back then. There isn't much room to expand the series other than utilising new technology for more on screen destruction, and we all know tech doesn't make a game great.
I'm not gonna lie that actually looks pretty good and seems to have the crazy ragdoll game modes too.
Just like sonic 06 just pretend 3 didn't exist.
They seem to be kinda hiding the crucial stuff like the car damage in that trailer tho.
So... Car destruction is limited to scratches, broken glass and missing doors?

Much more interesting level design and different modes would benefit it greatly this just looks more of the same.
That music sounds incredibly royalty-free.

It does have a Steam ID. I personally don't play racing games on PC, but it's true that it's a staple of the series.
i hope its good

Add some crates and hats and we should be good to go
Fluh-Four-Tout.
Looks more like a mod for Flatout 2 Ultimate Carnage.

Considering the insanely good soundtrack Flatout 2 had it's really weird that they wouldn't try to emulate that.
So you can break stuff
Physics look really arcade-y, which I think is great. Reminds me of ps2 era games
Flatout 1 and 2 were so damn fun back in the ps2 days
There's been a real lack of dumb smashy racing games, nothing really since Burnout Paradise, its all about realism and simulation now

Burnout Paradise is hands down my favourite racing because smashing others off the road is fun

Afaik the original devs, Bugbear already created a spiritual successor of the series called Wreckfest. So what happened to the rights to the series?

Between Flatout 2 (Bugbear) and Flatout 3 (Team6), the IP bounced around a lot before Strategy First got a hold of it and allowed Team6 to finish their game (by allow I mean force them to release early). SF still owns the rights.
Wreckfest was promising until it stalled in early access for 3 years. Although they intend to begin monthly updates, it's not FlatOut without its definitive arcade elements.
I want.
Reason: Read title.

I don't want to have a rich and varied storytelling with a range of characters voiced by B-list celebrities and a soundtrack that combines orchestral music and dubstep. I just want to drive ugly cars very quickly into other ugly cars and possibly some walls.
Besides, it's more about nostalgia, and that sells. Look at Doom.
The developers have done nothing noteworthy. I have no hopes for this.
unless its the love child between burnout revenge and Rush 2's stunt mode, then its not worth it.
Well from the way they've treated flatout since bugbear stopped working on it, I have absolutely no hope that this will be any good. Still looks like an improvement from 3, but is that really difficult?
it really looks like a tweaked version of FlatOut 2. Pretty disappointing...
also I'm not trusting anyone besides Bugbear for this. their "Next Car Game" (aka Wreckfest) is basically the real next flatout.

Minus all the arcade, so not really. It won't even have nitro.
I disliked the vibe given off from the trailer, cars feel really weightless. I hope to be proven wrong.
Kylotonn was at the helm of mediocre WRC games, so I'm not expecting much from them

Flatout 3 had too-arcadey physics. The fun in Flatout is in the physics model - not too realistic, but not kart-tier either

PC, PS4 and XB1 iirc
