A 4:3 ratio doesn't really make a lot of sense on a widescreen monitor. Black bars are the worst.

Unless you're playing a game that only supports it. I was playing FEAR I think at 1920x1440 a while ago.

I had a Dell 5:4 Monitor as my main monitor up until only recently when I got a new 16:9 for Christmas. It was sad to see that thing go, it was such a damn good monitor for being 12 years old.

I will never understand how people just started getting 1080p monitors a few years ago

In 2008 I got a 2048x1152 144hz monitor for like $300. Like, do you people live in Ukraine or something? I really don't understand it.

Scratch the 144hz part, I forgot I OC'd it to like 90hz or something, I haven't had that monitor in almost 5 years.
