Delaying the game rather than rushing out shit: good. Hiring a bunch more developers: Can be concerning in some cases, but not automatically a huge sign of failure. I'm hoping for the best, and not a Mn9/NMS repeat where delays did not result in the product fans were waiting for.
I kinda forgot it was a thing. But that's aight. Take your time to make sure your new vania-type game is the best it can be.
Always thought the original release date was too optimistic.
one or delays fine so long as it's not a MN9 thing
From what I've played with the demo they released for backers back in E3, it already shows a lot of promise, so I don't really mind the delay if it means it'll just get better from there and release the most polished experience possible.
Not surprised. The game definitely shows promise, but it's super obvious that it's still in its early planning stages right now. It's more or less still a prototype. While I'm sure some people are dreading this decision, I'd rather they come out and tell us this while the game is still heavily in development, instead of saying "it's basically done", and then delaying it for a year or more. I have way more faith in IGA than I ever did in Inafune. Though it probably helps that IGA is an actual game director/designer and not just a producer/businessman.
