I didn't like this video. Although I did smile for a moment when the game almost broke his concentration and got him to chuckle a little.
That was really annoying, saying the same thing over and over again in an attempt to be funny...ugh.
Dopefish just felt pretty awkward playing a crap game with 12 year old humor. Not to mention someone gifted it him. I wouldn't want to stream this to thousands of people and put on a fake laugh.
That was the problem he had with it, it was a shit game. A one room click and point adventure game with no sequence or continuity or logic. Dope did what any normal person would do when faced with a random scenario, vague instructions and a timer counting down, start clicking on shit. Oops, you didn't click on the adventure game logic choice, you lose and things explode, we're not even sure that was supposed to happen and you won or not. Then you're moved off to another nonsensical place and get to experience the lolrandum humour as you repeat things until you find the right one, and there might be some kind of bonus if you do the correct arbitrary thing three times in a row, isn't that fun! Also worth pointing out the art style is awful, made the same stupid mistake Fez did of thinking low res shit = retro. At least VVVVVV had a consistent and unique art style, this is just a bad excuse.
Uuuuuuum...
Reminds me a lot of Wario Ware. I only got it because the make (founder of pirate bay) told people to pirate his game when he first released it, so I got it when it didn't go commercial. I'm not sure how he would feel about torrenting it now. Would be really ironic if he sued people over it.
This was was one of the first games that got onto steam from greenlight, what the fuck.
I actually like this game, it's so sad to see so many people bashing the game just for watching a video of a guy going "umm yea" for five minutes. A lot of this game's appeal is the humor so whether or not it's funny is your opinion, but people shouldn't call a game shit before they've even tried it for themselves.

So here's a dumb back.

Well, he did play it for an hour and a half

In fact, if it does, it's kind of fails to be a game. Look at a game like, oh say, Dungeons of Dredmor for example. The whole game has a very outspoken sense of humor to it (actual genuine, clever humor too, not just LOL SO RANDOM FUNI!XDDDD,) but it still manages to succeed as a game. It has actual game mechanics, and a tutorial that explains them, a great soundtrack with a decent variety of music, and a unique, deliberate art-style. Sure, the art-style may not be everyone's cup of tea, but at least it's an actual attempt at a unique aesthetic instead of this low-res, nigh-on objectively hideous pseudo-retro thing that McPixel (and for that matter a lot of other indie games) have going on.
This was was one of the first games that got onto steam from greenlight, what the fuck.
Better question is how the fuck did it get the right amount of votes in the first place, does it have a huge community or something? Did someone internet famous play it? Did the creator make thousands of steam accounts? The game looks like it belongs in the 2004 era of Newgrounds games, not going for £4 on a steam store.
At least he's being honest.

Literally nothing but a really bad game. Any competent developer in Facepunch's programming section could make it in less than 24 hours.

The humor is mostly dumb and the visuals and gameplay are both super lazy.
that game looks terrible

He didn't laugh. But...but...he always laughs...that's what people love about him. He even managed to laugh at Amnesia, for fuck sake.
Says a lot about this game's sense of humor, doesn't it?
lmao you feed the bomb to the alien and it explodes and hes smokin a DOOBIE XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
It's clearly not his kind of humor/game. I find McPixel hilarious and completely worth the money.
