damn shame it aint the switch version [editline]2nd September 2017[/editline] that solid progress though hot damn
that was fast. in only 5 months they can emulate it nearly perfectly.
specs, for anyone interested, looks like this takes a little bit of power to run (if it's using these to their full extent)
Considering how solid just a 1070 is,only needing a 980 is pretty solid for a 4k game [editline]2nd September 2017[/editline]
Isn't the only difference between switch and wiiU the sound quality? i'm sure it wouldn't be too hard ot rip the sounds and just replace them
I'd have assumed it'd have been bigger than this I guess aside from /slight/ filtering improvements and better sound, they're basically 1:1 so yeah you're right
that was fast. in only 5 months they can emulate it nearly perfectly.
To be honest, if the game runs better in emulation than on the native system I'd consider that better than perfect
Now if only Cemu would get back to focusing on general Wii U emulation. They've been focusing on BOTW so much but the rest of the Wii U library's support has been pretty stagnant in comparison
Man this is impressive as hell. And Korok Forest dipping to no less than ~45, to boot. :neat:
Holy crap this game looks really relaxing to play.

Feels so weird watching the game on 60fps. I'm quite amazed that it only took them 5 months to get it up and running like this.

At this point CEMU became emulator for BOTW so as soon as they start working on other games support BOTW will become broken as hell.

If they did nothing but hacky shit to get BotW working well but ignored everything else then it's gonna be a code disaster in the future of the emulator.
Wonder if this runs at 144hz 1080p that well too. I prefer high framerates over resolution if i have the choice.

There's really nothing else on Wii u that most people want to play. Because people who specifically want to play Mario games are obviously already going to own a Nintendo console, and there's like Bayonetta 2 I guess, but I think that game works on cemu also (I was going to test when I get home later), and I mean, what else is there on this system? I mean I look through all the games on the Wii u USB helper download list and I can't think of anything else I'd rather be playing that doesn't have a better version on another console or PC. But also I'm not a Nintendo fan and have never played any of the first party Nintendo titles so of course I don't see anything appealing. But I do know people who do like first party Nintendo games and they all own multiple Nintendo consoles and thus have no use for such an emulator, so it makes sense why they're not focusing on general compatibility.
It would be nice if I could use the gyroscope in the pro controller with this emulator. So far, I think only the DualShock controller's gyroscope is supported (through 3rd party add-ons).

Devil's Third if you hate yourself. Windwaker HD if you want the amenities it provides. The WiiU was not a very good place to go for a large library.

Improves upon everything that the first one did, minus some worse boss battles Smash Bros 4 - Despite people calling it shit now, it's the best Smash since Melee and pretty much a great game with lots of soul oozing from it. Super Mario 3D World - Conservative, with little new ideas but the perfect coop game to go through. Pikmin 3 - It's the best Pikmin. Other, smaller titles: Yoshi's Wolly World, Captain Toad Treasure Tracker, Splatoon.

Yes, the games that are good on WiiU are usually very good, but you have maybe 20 games on a system worth playing, and I'm saying that as someone who owns one.

There's ~10 great games tops but people defend it to the death regardless.
Wii-U is like the Vita. There's ~10 great games tops but people defend it to the death regardless.
Wii U's great games are leagues and leagues above the Vita's though to be fair.

That's pretty much my library for the 3DS.
Wii-U is like the Vita. There's ~10 great games tops but people defend it to the death regardless.
I own a Vita and the Wii U library is much MUCH better than Vita's. The Vita had about 4 big first party releases and then a bunch of indie games. It has a good japanese library but most titles don't come to the west. It also got abandoned waay too quickly.
I'll defend the Vita in the sense that it had no right to be as shunned as it was aside from the shitty memory card practices. The hardware was there, the software was not.
Wonder if this runs at 144hz 1080p that well too. I prefer high framerates over resolution if i have the choice.
The limiting factor here is cpu speed. Reducing the resolution only helps the gpu, so it wouldn't increase your framerate.

Now Nintendo most definitely has the largest market share when it comes to that so in a companies interest its much more interesting to sacrifice functionality and graphics for the 3DS then developing some sweet for the Vita, unless you are a indie (and also why the Vita 90% exists out of indie games)
