I don't think the art style works for this gameplay at all, nor do I think this is a proper way to adapt Reservoir Dogs ( if there were one. )
I don't think I've seen a game miss the point of its source material worse than this.
I would play the concept, but not the game.
A puzzle shooter with time reversal would be fun.

at least this one actually focuses on the title instead of just using it for the sake of publicity
Jesus christ that looks even worse than the original game.
This has to be the most hilariously embarrassing thing
it's like they took some random video game and for no reason at all just shoe-horned a popular IP over it to make it seem 'unique'
the time feature makes no sense, why does RD even need a game, and what were they thinking with the artstyle with this kind of theme? It looks like a Chinese rip off
The hell is this?
With attempts like this, I think its fair to say that this movie simply doesn't need a game adaptation.
I think thats fair, isn't it?
This looks like a mobile game.
I would play the concept, but not the game.

Actually I think that is what happened actually. Look at the designs of the characters and the bank, and compare them to the original designs in Res. Dogs. They are almost completely different. The devs made a 'heavily inspired by the movie' puzzle shooter, hence the trunk scene and the auto shop walk. But, they wanted to spice it up with some timetravel mechanics, like a speical artifact or footage change (hence the sound effects of the reversal happening/when it ends)
The publisher, knowing that a game like that won't sell, just slapped on the license, probably for really cheap too, and changed the title and character names.
This really upsets me more than it should, seeing the name of a movie I liked a lot just slapped onto something that is about as loosely fitting as you can get away with. If the license was cheap enough for them to get, it just makes me wish something closer to the source material would be attempted again.
Jesus, it's like if Reservoir Dogs was remade by the dudes who made The Incredibles
Mr. Pink shoots a cop and you don't even hear the gunshot :v:

I think you underestimate the skill the dudes who made The Incredibles have. They could make a fantastic Reservoir Dogs Product if they were given the chance to.

Remember when Mr. Pink used a time reversal device in ResDogs to save Mr. Orange

I'm not underestimating their skill, I'm just saying that the art style of this game and the proportions of the characters really reminds me of The Incredibles or similar games like Battlefield Heroes and TF2.
The whole concept of RD is the perfect crime going wrong. I don't think you could be as polar opposite to the point than to give yourself an overpowered ability to retcon mistakes to make the "Perfect Crime".

Don’t try again, rewind. Control characters for overlapping bursts of time, in a single-player co-op mode and discover endless possibilities.
Take advantage of this highly addictive and strategic mechanic in tension-filled robberies and shootouts.

I'll wait until it's on sale. The phrase "turn-based real-time single-player co-op Hotline Miami" sounds weird but interesting though.
This is such a baffling mess of confusing choices.

Wouldn't they just time travel to a few months before the heist and [sp]shoot mr orange[/sp]?

You're really not giving them enough credit. The Incredibles is a 10/10 movie.

Where did I say it isn't a good movie? I'm only saying the art style is similar.
Thankfully the developers have a wide and vibrant portfolio of games available

Difference is Door Kickers is a good game.
It's as if someone who makes mobile games saw the poster for Reservoir Dogs and went "Huh, I should make a game out of this."
:vomit:
I feel like I would've liked this more if it wasn't called Reservoir Dogs. Like, I enjoy the art but this would work better as an homage rather than a licensed fucking product. The movie had nothing to do with time travel, that mechanic makes no sense to the property it's attached to.
The one franchise that'd be a perfect fit for a Telltale game...
