i love seeing videos like this
i love seeing videos like this
Same, I got to help out a homeless guy in a similar situation a while back, feels good.
I would have bought him a Sandwich or a Gyro or something.

Hey, I know that bit of London.

Filming yourself doing nice things, sort of ruins it for me.

This is amazing. I've done this a few times in the past and I will continue to do it. If there is one thing I cannot deny someone, it's food.

Makes me just wanna go out and buy food for all my money to some strangers that needs help
He had the camera running because he's a cyclist. It's like a dashcam, but for cyclists.
Fair enough, but he also uploaded it. He might have done it purely out of altruistic reasons, but when he uploads it, he ruins it by seeking praise.
Fair enough, but he also uploaded it. He might have done it purely out of altruistic reasons, but when he uploads it, he ruins it by seeking praise.
But he said "always help those less abled than you are" sounds more like he was showing a life lesson.
Fair enough, but he also uploaded it. Even if he did it for praise or whatever; he still helped someone. If everyone does it for "praise" they're still helping people in need despite their reasons for doing so.

Not every human wants to be a gigantic douche, most do it because they don't see any alternatives, rarely often do they do it purely out of sick tendencies. Pretty clear he just wants to set an example.
This hobo seemed like a nice guy. I'm pretty jaded because I often try to help homeless people with little things here and there. Much of the time they would try to take advantage of my kindness and it's pretty clear that they're malicious people. This one guy called his begging "hustlin'" and was really confrontational to people. It's hard to find the nice hobos that deserve help.
Can we please have a Good Samaritan Megathread? So after watching a good beatdown at Idiots Who Deserved It, you can have your heart warmed by random acts of kindness. I really need these feels, guys.
a week ago this homeless guy asked me for 4 quid so he could buy a coffee and a sandwich, the thing was he was already holding a coffee and a sandwich.
a week ago this homeless guy asked me for 4 quid so he could buy a coffee and a sandwich, the thing was he was already holding a coffee and a sandwich.
if someone did that to me i'd tell them to fuck off i would give to someone of whom doesn't ask.
Sure, it was a nice thing he did, but recording it and speaking loudly so other people could hear he was buying food for him was just being pretentious
Sure, it was a nice thing he did, but recording it and speaking loudly so other people could hear he was buying food for him was just being pretentious
Yes, I'd rather just see him cycling and not spending his hard earned cash to help the unfortunate. What a pretentious asshole. pre·ten·tious/priˈtenCHəs/ Adjective: Attempting to impress by affecting greater importance, talent, culture, etc., than is actually possessed

But he was clearly parading around how nice he was being to this homeless man. If i was homeless and someone took a video camera and recorded me and my reaction to being fed by someone else i would hate it. You might wanna read some more about what pretentious means

The only way to capture something on film is to record it, so if we want to see videos of people doing good things, they have to record it.

Would have laughed so hard if he got the guy to scan it, then just sprinted out of the store. However the alternative is a bit nicer :v:
