• Glorious patriots protect American freedom and values by stopping a bus of invaders dead in its trac
(CNN) -- Angry protesters forced three buses carrying undocumented immigrants to turn around Tuesday in Southern California. The immigrants had arrived in San Diego from south Texas and were on their way to be processed at the Murrieta Border Patrol station. Protesters chanting "USA!" "Impeach Obama!" and "Deport, Deport!" blocked their route. A heated yelling match ensued between the demonstrators and a group of counterprotesters. As the buses were forced to retreat, the roughly 140 people on board were taken to a border station in San Ysidro, according to Ron Zermeno with the National Border Patrol Council. It was not immediately clear whether they would stay there or what would happen next.
http://www.cnn.com/2014/07/01/us/california-immigrant-transfers/index.html?hpt=hp_t2
its funny how most people here completely forget that they are people too and not some mexican robots that are programmed to take their jerbs.
I don't understand, they told them to turn around? From where to where? They're blocking illegal immigrants from being processed?
What shitty people. We should kick them out of the country instead.

Personally I've always viewed the US to be a lot like Australia in that it's a nation of immigrants, so it's always weird to hear how hostile some are against refugees and the like.

It's wonderful how a group of people will completely disown a group (Ie they're more likely racists then anything) like that. I mean, there is no reason for us to NOT make immigration easier and make it so illegals can easily become legal. You never see these groups protesting against other illegal immigrants from other areas. Then they turn around and chant USA, I guess it is easy to forget what the USA stood for and what the USA is about when you get citizenship handed to you.
These people should be put on a bus to somewhere so that they can see what this feels like when it happens to them.
You realize there were counter protesters there, right?
You never see these groups protesting against other illegal immigrants from other areas.
Other areas? What do you mean?
Other areas? What do you mean?
You don't often see people complaining about illegal immigrants from Canada or Britain for example. Same thing happens in Australia, we freak out over immigrants from the middle east, yet couldn't care less if they come from the US/Canada/Britain.

It certainly could be racial though. http://pewhispanic.org/files/reports/44.pdf
what is the number of illegal immigrants from us/uk/aus. going to us/uk/aus.
The problem is xenophobia. Aus/uk/us are very alike so nobody really bats an eyelid. If you go to for example, Saudi Arabia as an illegal US immigrant, you would face xenophobia because of the huge cultural differences and opinions of citizens about Americans.
If they're being processed I fail to see the problem. If it was just a bus full of illegal immigrants with really no true direction, it'd make sense... But... Y'know.. Merica..... Go us... yay.......
Immigration was all good and stuff way back when, but when the amount of people increases moving into poverty it puts strain on the benefits system

All immigrants are not equal. The vast majority of immigrants from Latin America who come here illegally come here with minimal, if any education, limited skills, and will most likely require assistance for a long time. Allowing a high number of people in that situation would put a hard strain on our economy. There's no way around that. As nice as it would be to be able to do this, it's not sustainable. We already have high unemployment when it comes to low/medium skilled jobs. Why would anyone think it's a good idea to flood the market with more low/medium skilled people? Also, Latin American immigrants are the only ones who are continuously ignoring the immigration system in such large numbers. We don't have 11 million illegal Canadians ducking the system so they don't get deported. It's a bad start because it shows that you don't respect our laws. It has nothing to do with race.....

Like when people complain about Muslims speaking in their own language yet say that people speaking in French sound sexy and romantic.
I laugh my ass off because these idiots would never take the jobs those workers would fill. Hey Billybob, you wanna pick fruits?
it seems there's an angry mob ahead, rerouting, make a u-turn at the nearest convenience and take the first right -GPS
I laugh my ass off because these idiots would never take the jobs those workers would fill. Hey Billybob, you wanna pick fruits?
If you paid him enough, he would. But why raise wages when you can get a low skilled immigrant to do the job for cheap?
If you paid him enough, he would. But why raise wages when you can get a low skilled immigrant to do the job for cheap?
why would they raise the wages? the economy is in the state that people will take the shittiest for the shittiest wages and is easily replaceable, especially in agriculture work
why would they raise the wages? the economy is in the state that people will take the shittiest for the shittiest wages and is easily replaceable, especially in agriculture work
If I need workers to pick strawberries and nobody wants to do it because the pay isn't high enough for that type of job, the employer is either forced to find someone who will do it for that pay or raise the wages else he risks going out of business. In the plants down here, where you're required to get a twic card, which illegal immigrants can't/aren't going to get, laborers are being paid $15/hour minimum because nobody wants to do it for $8/hour and they were having trouble finding people at low wages.

But, those jobs are really helpful for people like me who've got out of school and need a job to help support themselves so we can go to college and all of that. When I worked overnights at Wal-mart, there where several people there who could hardly speak English and never understood anyone. The worse part of it was, most of them there simply didn't want to learn english, and the ones who did already had or actually put an effort into it. There was a Janitor there who I talked to on occasion who couldn't speak very good English, but was willing to learn and asked people to help explain stuff to him and correct him. I had the same thing when I worked for a fiberglass company for a brief period. There where some people there who just refused to learn and wanted to be catered to. I understand things are better over here and they want to come over here to stay and live a good life. People do try to go through the proper channels and get turned away for no good reason because our immigration policies are a joke. But I've also ran into a lot of people who illegally cross the border who come here to work for six or seven months, and then return home to Mexico and live off of that money down there because its worth more, and that is the type of shit that I hate.

Many of them start businesses that create jobs - often for other immigrants. They even create businesses more often than the average citizen. Virtually every study concerning the economic impact of immigrants, illegal or not, has them being a net positive.

It has a hell of a lot to do with race and cultural ideology differences, there is such a thing as xenophobia and racists.

[editline]2nd July 2014[/editline]
The problem is jose is an illegal immigrant, meaning he's not documented, they can easily get away with paying them much less than minimum wage because if jose wants a pay raise they can just say "lol we'll report you to immigration". It doesn't matter that billybob will gladly work for minimum wage, because jose will work for less than minimum wage without complaining, so he doesn't get deported. Don't just assume that citizens are getting pushed out of work because they wouldn't do it; illegals will work for less money, and there's less hassle in hiring them.
What job is billybob losing due to jose working at minimum wage? Picking crops for a few days?
I'd be more ok with the influx of immigrants if they actually tried to become citizens instead of leaches. Call me out on this but it is kinda obvious that they take a lot of the entrylevel jobs instead of applying for citizenship leaving the actual citizens out of the loop. Not that whats happening in the article isnt dumb, but still
