ANIMAL lover Wayne Keough believes he owns Britain's oldest cat, which is nearly 125 years old in cat years, the Sun reported on Wednesday.
Keough adopted the kitten and named it James Dean, after the famous 1950s movie star.
The cat was born in 1984 and will celebrate his birthday next month. Keough, the restaurant owner believes he owns Britain's oldest cat.
Keough told the Sun, 'My daughter Eve asked why James hadn't had a telegram from the Queen. We wrote to Buckingham Palace and got a letter from the Queen's lady-in-waiting. It said that although Her Majesty doesn't recognise animal centenarians, she was very moved by our letter.'
Keough further claimed that he paid 1,000 pounds (S$2,040) for an operation to save him after it was hit by a car.
Holy shit. Aw, he's kinda cute. :3:
Very cool. But I wouldn't want my cat to live that long, too much upkeep for too long.
Also who the fuck names a cat James Dean?
Cat looks like he's some old veteran from some big war and is scarred for life.
motherfucking ninja

It's 30 years old.
The cat pictured in OP is suffering from arthritis, you can tell because it's fur looks unkempt.
My Cat's getting pretty old too. He's practically the same age as me, turning 20 next July. I hope he lives to hit 20, it would kinda suck if he died at 19, a few months short of 20. It's kinda interesting because both my parents got to witness a cat and a human at the same exact age grow up in the same household.
I'm really not sure if I will be the same once he passes, he's always been in my life :smith:
I think what makes this all even better is that he LOOKS old. Like some super wise cat that has the entire world under his belt. He's like the Yoda of cats.
My cat is around 20-21 years old.
It somehow almost looks like a corpse to me.
Like he was stuffed.
I read this as my cat sleeps right next to me on the arm of chair.
That's really inspiring and comforting and gives me hope for my cats. <3 They're around 15.
One of them is draped over my stomach right now. c:

Most cats that I know of, including one of my own, live to be like 18-21 somewhere in that range, possibly longer like in this case
It's crazy to think this cat is double, if not triple, the average age of FP.

That is a donut.
still I mean
That's amazing. He's almost as old as me.
they gave a cat a fucking bagel for its birthday?
what do you propose to give to a cat that doesn't recognize what a birthday is and can't really do anything but try to keep living
I mean short of like a cat jungle gym thing but its way too old
they gave a cat a fucking bagel for its birthday?
I give my cats chicken noodle soup, and cheese sticks for their birthdays. Hell.. My orange cat Youshie eats pasta and potatoes with me all the time.
Also. For anyone who is questioned on what the comparison from Cat Years to Human Years... Go here.
If this cat lives another two years... The comarison chart dictates that in human year it'll be 136 years old.
My uncle's cat was 26 when it finally croaked :(
