wow they really really tried hard to make it far more exciting than the actual book is
Finally. Thought Brad & Angelina were going to be Rearden & Dagny, but that seems to have fallen through.
Wow I thought this was a joke at first but I looked it up on IMDB and it is real
Actually looks kinda cool
Looks like B movie actors.
Looks really good. Read the book a month ago.
Looks like it was made for TV. Why are there only no-names attached to this, it's one of the most famous books of all time.
Good now I don't have to read a book the size of fucking Jupiter.
Well other than The Fountainhead.
Ayn Rand is rolling in her grave.
And unless you're Harry Potter, movies that have "parts" don't tend to come back for a second. Just look at The Golden Compass.
can't wait for the sequel
atlas shrugged 2: shrug harder
Isn't the book supposed to be rather pretentious? or at least it is quoted/praised by pretentious people?

No, it just had some really interesting and memorable ideas.
How is anyone going to parody this when everyone's reaction is essentially "Wow, this is a decent parody. Oh, wait it isn't"

well it says people who limit corporations are greedy talentless scumbags that are jealous

According to this article, the film rights were set to expire if production didn't begin in mid-2010. Only a $5m budget?

I'm reserving judgement for when it's released.

Thankfully, there's nothing about bees or flaming skulls in Atlas.
I loved this book, I hope they don't fuck it up.

Oh god why is it in modern day? It is supposed to take place in the 40s! Why, Hollywood, why??
Part I.
Of course Part II is all going to be Galt's speech.
can't wait oh god
I couldn't really make myself believe this movie was actually happening until I saw this trailer earlier.
Looks pretty good, to be honest.

when they change the time period it is generally to make the film easier to relate to for the audience.
Throughout the trailer I was like "The action is replaced with business politics"
Not that that's a bad thing, but fuck if I'm going to watch it.
i thought this was about living under the sea wtf

Not to mention that it would probably be expensive as shit to set in the 40s, seeing how they have a $5 million budget and all
