It's a mocking of polictical interviews, played after the 7:30 report in Australia on the ABC channel.
I think they still show these type of mock interviews from time to time.

reminds me of something i'd see in a monty python sketch.
I love these guys. They have a high-level kind of humor which you have to keep up with, while also sneaking in other subtle jokes which you could completely miss.
This one was another one I really liked.
