Very well made and nicely presented.
Beats are doing the same thing Apple is doing, so it's no wonder they got bought by them.
Heh, the way he says "Pick if you want sound or not" when buying headphones is kind of crazy.
"Hmm, I need to buy new headphones. What should I get? Well, I don't want them to sound good, so I better go with Beats by Dr. Dre!"

Sennheiser Momentum. Premium unboxing experience, premium sound yet they're less than half the price of those studios.
They're also prettier:

Also, didn't pretty much everyone already know this? Like, none of this is news (except maybe the 64% thing).

Well, according to the 64% thing this is big news to a lot of people. :v:

in ears are fine, in fact i can almost guarantee a $10 pair of in ears would sound better than any top notch headphones.

Definitely not. In-Ears do the job, but in my experience you really need a good pair of over-ear headphones to get the highest quality sound. They take advantage of your full ear, rather than just the canal, and the larger drivers produce more accurate sound.
I always took it that Beats were the Alienware of Headphones.

Studio 2.0s and Momentums are both £260, +/-£10.
Best bang for buck in the "audiophile" category are probably HD558s. Good build quality, great sound.
Now there's mirrors everywhere in the headphones section of electronic stores goddamn.

I had one of these, they kinda clamped on my head and hurt my ears.
i prefer massive ones that sit over your whole ear and don't touch the sides. i love my hd-598's.

hell of a lot better than beats by dre. they're chunky and awkwardly designed.

I own the M50x and they are easily the best pair of headphones I've ever had
granted, up until now my only experience with headphones have been gaming headsets, but these are just as comfortable, sound way better and look even cooler
Now there's mirrors everywhere in the headphones section of electronic stores goddamn.
I mean I can see why. I've got a great pair of over-ears that I don't like leaving the house with because they make me look like a goddamn idiot wearing them.
It's like sunglasses. Sure, the overall goal is to just get the sun out of your eyes, but you want to make sure you look good doing it.

ath-m50 master race
ath-m50 master race
the m50 is a great budget headphone, but there are better ones out there
i recently snagged a pair of akg q701s from massdrop for roughly the same price as buying my old ath-m50 locally, and they are so, so much more comfortable (i do have giant ears though so the m50's standard sized ear cups were a bit small for me, they became on ears rather than over ears) and have way better sound staging
i use in ear because im a fucking pleb
there's nothing wrong with in ears, they can be very good for what they are
i mean yeah they're won't compare with full-size audiophile shit, but there's still a fair few budget in-ears that sound good, like the soundmagic e10 or feels pro 900
Its kinda bad that most stores here either sell shit quality headphones or Beats, i have yet to see any store selling any Sennheiser at a fair price, they usually go for over R$1500 (Thats about ~$750) for the good quality ones.
Misread as True Facts About Beats By Dre
I was expecting Zefrank.
Man people wank too hard over their headphones, just go with a pair of koss porta pro, sound is good though they tend to be a bit brittle, but thgain they have a reasonable pricetag. To me most of the audio technology market is just the worst case of paying for brand and price gouging. I mean shit, there's headphones out there costing more than my computer in total, and its hard to even begin to understand the nanometre precision needed to create the parts of something like a CPU as opposed to a membrane with a magnet stuck to it swinging back and forth in front of a small electromagnet.
