And for those who missed it, here is a link to the CG trailer released at E3: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KWASA7eNiLc
Seeing that it's made by Techland, controls will be stiff a board and bugs will be plentiful.
And somewhere under all that is a amazingly mediocore game.
It looks almost exactly like dead island to me
Gameplay looks identical to Dead Island's but with parkour, which is a bit disappointing.
I bet that there are a bunch of arcadey notifications and pop ups which appear after killing zombies which they hid when making this video.
More zombie games! We just can't get enough!
Look interesting.
The Free-Running is way too stiff though.
They need to make it fluid like in Mirror's Edge
At first I was thinking that with this game they may have been going a different route. Maybe a more 'realistic' infection with the only main threat being the number of regular infected. Then they introduced that tank thing.. gg techland
Oh, my god.
I don't know about you guys, but Mirror's edge plus the walking dead then Left 4 Dead at night, I'm pretty fucking excited!
[Sp]And then it turn out that it's awful, and I will be sad :c [/Sp]

Did you watch until the end? I don't think the tank-thing is the only special fella here.
Even though the combat and zombies look very similar to Dead Island, I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing. The combat in Dead Island was in my opinion a lot of fun, and I really like the look of the night time stealth thing.
it looks like they copy-pasted mirror's edge's parkour moves
they even use the exact same animations
I dunno, it looks kinda cool but I'll need to see more of it to judge whether it's going to be worth it or not.
Looks good. It has dropkicks, some interesting parkour (like jumping on zombies heads as platforms) and slowmotion, what's not to like!
Parkour zombies.
oh my god, another zombie game!! i did not see this coming!

I don't really see anything wrong with "special" infected. For a game like this, I think the enemy variety helps it not become quickly repetitive. I mean I can understand the desire for some more realism, but in an open world zombie game I think you'd find yourself wishing for more if all your enemies were exactly alike.
Anyway, it undeniably has a lot in common with Dead Island, but I think based on this video it'll probably play to the strengths of the game and improve on the flaws.
My only real criticisms on the video are when he's running and encounters a zombie, having to slow down completely to melee it kind of destroys the free-movement flow. Also it went dark way too quickly, but I wouldn't be surprised if that was just for purposes of the demo. Oh and also that chick was a bit naggy.
That little girl does not look saved to me
Looks fun, unlike Dead Island.
I have to agree, some of the animation looked way too similar to Mirror's Edge, not saying a bad thing but the similarities seemed big. And before you say you can't make parkour animations look different I don't believe that.
I was really unimpressed by the gameplay but when it got dark it gave me some I Am Legend vibes and the action was pretty intense.
Nighttime looks horrifying
Mirrors edge ran in Unreal engine, this is running on Chrome engine so while they may look similar its impossible the same anims are being used
i do think they gotta polish it more, since momentum isnt even being carried when you vault or slide and thats a key in free running
Look cool and all, but can we have a first person game where the bad guys aren't zombies/russians/brown people pls
Movement needs to be a lot more flowing, it just seems really janky to me.
I know lens flares have become the norm for a lot of games but those were really over the top. The same with the godrays from the sun, it made everything look eye searingly bright.
Looks better than dead rising.
I loved DI 1 and 2 so I'm looking forward to this.
Looks promising and an improvement on dead island. For pre-alpha it looks pretty nice but only time will tell. Hopefully my headset will work for this one.
I don't care what the game is about, If it has first person parkour in it then I'm sold.

Yeah it really is getting absurd. It doesn't make the game look like eye candy, it just makes your eyes go, "Ow ok, that hurts" and you want to look away. As you do with looking at the sun.
So I don't know why "NEXT GEN" games are making this bullshit thing where the Sun is about 3 times its size causing everything, even weapons to produce sun shafts.

I don't get why first person games has lens flares in the first place, if they want us immersed, why create the illusion that our eyes are cameras?
