Refugees clash with borderpolice in Macedonia 28th Nov 2015 - General

There are also genuine refugees, trying to get away from idiot thugs like these. However, as these images are rarely or never shown on TV, I do feel like people need to this see real and existant side of some of the current groups of immigrants as well. The image that they are all or even mostly carrying crying children is not an accurate representation of reality, yet is proliferated in most national media. The video is hosted on a right-wing Youtube channel, hence the cynical and somewhat sensationalist title of the video that I cannot remove. However, they specialize in collecting and archiving videomaterial from throughout Europe to depict problems with immigrants, and refugees that are not being shown in the mainstream media, or are just shown nationally, but not beyond borders. The video is watermarked by A1on.mk, a Macedonia newswebsite. Input from Macedonians on reputability welcome.

Facepunch is quite international. I 'only' watch French, German, Dutch, British, American and Russian news, and I do not have the time or language skills to watch many more. Has anyone seen this on ANY TV-news broadcast in their respective countries? I feel it's quite strange the newsreports are so selective..

Where the more Western news keeps on showing those photo's with a few women and children among the group refugees, the photo's from Eastern European media show border crossings filled with only men who were all of mature age. The youngest among them looked in the mid twenties. Not a single woman or child around in miles. Then again, the Western news likes to twist the reality of this crisis very much. Remember that video of that refugee tackling a refugee woman and her baby on the rails? The news in the West used that photo of the man screaming on the rails while pinning the woman and baby with the Hungarian Border Police approaching as 'Refugees protesting being sent to a Hungarian refugee camp'. While not even mentioning how the man in question fucking tackled a woman and baby that might not even have been his. And that the Hungarian Border Police didn't even do anything wrong, but the media was still hellbent on painting them off as evil racists. This media bias is such a fucking disgrace. It's every man for himself. It really is, all these idiots in the parliament are there just for their own good, it's like a waiting room for a job in the EU. Just nod and say yes. Greece needs a few more billion? Just nod and say yes. I have little faith that this will get better, I really don't. And the thing is, who am I to go against this situation? To resist? A single man alone, like me?.... I can't do shit against this. You would have to dedicate your entire life to make a tiny, tiny impact. And to me, that's not worth it, there are far more precious things in life I enjoy. So yeah, I guess gave up. I just try to make the best of it, for myself. And to be honest, it's working out quite well. Not having to get angry at every related news item. It saves me quite a bit of stress actually. I guess that's just my $0.02... for anyone that cares.

As I said, I personally took up working as a volunteer for the IND where I help newcomers to this country integrate. Muslims need a lot of help to be able to integrate. And I've seen in the last 8 years that the people who I tell this to (over a period of time ofcourse), that they also tend to be the ones to integrate most succesfully.

The video is definitely from Macedonia, I can vouch for that, it was on Bulgarian news as well the other day. The story according to them was - Macedonian police was protecting the border with Greece when one of the people trying to cross to Macedonia got on top of a train carriage in an attempt to jump over - he got severe burns by a high voltage cable. He didn't die and was wheeled out by an ambulance. That sparked the whole thing, causing what you see in the video.

Please correct me if I'm mistaken but that is what I heard when the media stopped reporting on refugee crimes a few months ago. As fearing of the borderpatrols lives, I would shoot to scare them off, no effect then I would shoot to kill to protect my comrades. A rock is more deadly and can cause more damage than you think. Also, Here in Sweden, they usually try to portrait the borderpatrol/police as the equivalent of the SS. As demons who do not let these "kebab technicians" move through to "freedom" and "for them to build better lives"

It´s just that they all choose to. When there´s protests, they show the little group of 20 extreme-right nazi's in a crowd of 200 people calmly protesting. When they show refugees they only show crying children, and I volunteer in AZC Nijmegen, and if I'd had to guess there's only 50-100 children there, on a population of around 2.000

Stone throwing is deadly. For example, I'm quite "anti-Israel" myself but when they shoot Palestinians for using slings they're kinda justified. These are deadly weapons. Slavic countries can't keep back the tide to regulate the immigration and they need more support. Instead they're called racist and told to take in even more.
