How is it a bad thing that it doesn't tell you the mission requirements before/during?
They spoil what is going to happen in that mission and make you play in a way you wouldn't have done naturally, like rushing through to get the time bonus

He often uses footage from other people. I don't know if he asks permission first but he always credits them at the end.
I don't think it's fair to criticize GTA V for reserving content for GTA Online.
There's only so much you can fit onto a couple of disks.

Something that happens when you first see Trevor like 4-5 hours in the game.
Not a major spoiler but it's something you don't expect to happen.
Play the mission the way it's meant to be played, which is the fun way. Then go back and replay it, check the special requirements and do it the 100% way, I certainly don't want to feel any sort of constriction during the missions.

totes agree. the reason for it being there is replayability. if you tried to 100% every mission first run you'd likely just ruin the whole experience for yourself.

Sounds to me like one of those cool moments when you unlock an achievement without knowing it's there. for example, I like the idea of poetic justice, and using the stun gun on the officers because they used it before and ending up with a gold sounds like a nice surprise.
Plus the missions are all fun. Why complain about retrying them anyway?
