Oh god, this was the reason I bought BF1942. IT was SUCH a fun mod.
I just remember being a badass at flying the Apache. I did all kinds of physics defying tricks in that thing.
I also remember playing single player, and seeing the AI try to fly choppers, but always fail miserably and end up smashing upside-down into the ground after flying a thousand feet into the air.
I loved the helicopter controls in this one. Once I mastered them I was able to pull off such amazing moves, when I switched over to BC2, all that effort, gone.
BC2 flight mechanics were made for the console it seems cause it is so much harder to fly without vertical fly on.
