-- Cannabis Science, Inc. a pioneering U.S. biotech company developing pharmaceutical cannabis (marijuana derivative) products, is pleased to announce that numerous patients are reporting that Cannabis Science extract treatments are killing cancer cells. Cannabis Science, in conjunction with Rockbrook, its Colorado-licensed dispensary, consulted with a variety of cancer patients who were seeking to inform themselves of the current peer reviewed scientific literature, regarding the historical use of cannabis to treat "tumors”. Unlike most conventional cancer treatments, cannabis has an outstanding safety profile, and patients in states with medical marijuana laws are able to make an informed decision to legally try various cannabis preparations to determine what is most effective for their particular condition. Some of these scientifically informed patients have chosen to self-administer Cannabis Science extracts supplied by Rockbrook to treat their own cancers. Cannabis Science is delighted that patients are reporting dramatic improvements in their conditions, including basal cell carcinoma, non-small cell lung cancer accompanied by COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), ovarian cancer, and glioma. For example, a patient with basal cell carcinoma used a topical formulation to dramatically and rapidly eliminate her obvious skin cancer. Meanwhile, patients with internal tumors used oral formulations for their treatment. We currently await more complete clinical evaluations of the patients’ own reports of dramatic health improvements coincident with tumor shrinkage and disappearance. Dr. Robert J. Melamede, the CEO and President of Cannabis Science Inc., stated, "We will pursue and acquire intra-state generated data to make these cancer medicines available to the public at large as rapidly as possible. To accomplish this goal, we will seek accelerated FDA approval. We are on the verge of a revolution in medicine. Cannabis is now returning to modern medicine for all the right reasons. State generated results give us a unique ability to acquire scientific and clinical data for cannabis-based cancer treatments. As previously announced, we will use our new laboratory facility to house analytical instrumentation, tissue culture, clean rooms and additional necessary equipment. This facility will meet or exceed all federal, state, and local requirements to allow for the necessary for FDA clinical trials.” Cannabis Science expects to hold a press conference soon to formally announce its cancer formulation progress and future plans for cancer treatments. Brand names for our new cancer treatment drugs are currently being vetted through the company attorney for future commercial use.
Here is the article.

I see a lot of potentiality in Cannabis.. It's kinda like the source of life, but that would make me sound too much of a silly stoner so I think it's the proof of God then! Now that's a more better approach for the subject. But in all seriousness, it is a fast growing plant, yields three times as more fiber than the woods, is useful and more sturdy in many types of industry and for example cold-pressed hemp seed oil has a lot of health benefits, more so than the olive oil or soy milk! It can also make you feel funny if you smoke it! wonder where all the dumbs came from
I think it should be pointed out its Cannabis Extracts that killed the cancer in this study, and not smoked Cannabis. On another note, it seems every week some new treatment/cure for cancer is found. Why is cancer not a distant memory yet?!

That's good, maybe it can be legalized. I'll never smoke it but since it seems to have a lot of health benefits lets replace smoking with that.
I think it should be pointed out its Cannabis Extracts that kill cancer. Smoking weed erryday is not going to cure your cancer. On another note, it seems every week some new treatment/cure for cancer is found. Why is cancer not a distant memory yet?!
Probably due in part to the fact that there are pharmaceutical corporations who lobby government with millions of dollars that know that their harmful, toxic chemotherapy will be shunned when people realize how safe and powerfully medicinal cannabis can be.
As much as I want to believe it, weed as the cure for everything is becoming a bit phony now...
Not really phony, people are just beginning to realise its potential
Great to hear that, it, for a fact has more uses then just getting someone stoned.
No one said that smoking weed erry day would cure cancer, that's just your arrogant assumption for why people want it to be legalised.
I never said that either, but the title is kinda leading to "Smoke weed cure cancer" rather than "Cannibis plant extracts fight cancer cells".
Here we go.
nah not really.. added something to my first message btw. it's surprisingly useful plant..
And now we have the dumbest argument in the legalization battle just finished. Legalizing around medical use is stupid. it should be available to all eligible people(read; drinking age).
And now we have the dumbest argument in the legalization battle just finished.
and if you make stupid shit while high on cannabis and the police puts a gun to your head, a plant is not to be blamed.
We really need a "what" rating I would also like to see some scientific evidence before i go on believing whatever some company puts out and backing of the scientific community.
i wouldn't jump to conclusions here. look who's funding and directing the research - Cannabis Science, Inc. wouldn't it be like super convenient for them if someone decided to switch around a few numbers? don't get too excited people.
We really need a "what" rating I would also like to see some scientific evidence before i go on believing whatever some company puts out and backing of the scientific community.
i was just being obvious..
This just makes me wish it was just fucking legal.
And now we have the dumbest argument in the legalization battle just finished. For fucks sake just legalize it already.
like i dont support legalizing the 'hard' stuff like crystal meth and cocaine, but weed?
What do you think making those drugs illegal actually does? I'm curious to know
I am lighting up a bowl in honor of this article.
