He also voiced Paarthunax from Skyrim
He was also Charles Martinet in Runner 2
I love how happy he is, you can tell he legitimately enjoys what he does.
I still remember playing Mario 64 for the first time when my cousins received their N64 for Christmas in '96. That's one of those moments I'll never forget, it was astounding to see Mario transition over to a 3D world. It was one thing to see promotional material in something like Nintendo Power, but actually playing it was really something else.
When I got my chance to speak with him he was so heartwarming to talk to. I had a childish grin from ear to ear the rest of that night, It was amazing
Reminds me of Darin De Paul with how happy he is
It put's a huge grin on my face seeing the voice actor of such a beloved character be just as lovable.
But you do pronounce Mario like March, not Marry. It's mah-ree-oh, not meh-ree-oh
I went to the same school as him :smug:
Almost brought a tear to my eye, though I do miss the somewhat deeper voice from 64
I think I've seen him retell that story in at least 3 different videos and he sounds just as excited about it every time. Great guy.
For some weird ass reason, I was freaked out by the Mario imitation coming from Charles even though I was well aware of who voiced Mario and what he looked like.

Not at the same time I assume?

Yes but what about the Ally supply routes during WWII? How were food and ammunition packaged going to reach 82nd airborne after they would land in Normandy?
I was fortunate enough to meet him at CCSD in 2015 and to get his autograph. I decided that just his signature on my Mario Red 3DS was perfect, but he went a step further.

While he was signing it too he said all the parts in the Mario voice. He was super into everything and you could see how much he liked meeting fans. There's even a little Mario doodle on the inside by the speaker.
Unfortunately the buttons stopped working due to some spilled water the very next day, but at least that means there's no reason to take it out and risk the autograph coming off. Now it's just the single best part of my collection.
Also when I met him Mike Tyson happened to be passing through the hotel lobby so that's probably the only time anyone will ever see Mario and Mike Tyson in the same place outside of Punch Out.

I would be very old. I was there from 2008-2013.
How is Mario an asshole if this is his voice actor?

just highlighting the fact that is said with the british spelling of savior
my mates gf was the manager at the jay jays (trendy clothing store) in brisbane and she got to meet him because celebrities always go in there.
shes now working as the manager of the melbourne store, which i think is one of the biggest in the country, so i assume she'll be meeting more famous pop culture people.
He radiates with so much joy and positivity that it makes me smile just hearing him talk about anything.
