It might be, but it fit franks role of his integration with video games for stress relief.
Frank also has a Sony screen in his basement, he plays Killzone on it. A bit obvious who was one of the sponsors.
Yeah this scene actually didn't bother me since it fits his character and the rest of the scene
Season 1 had some rough moments with product placement, but I actually really liked the bit with God of War Ascension in season 2.
