It's ridiculous that after 26 hours of playtime I still haven't beaten FTL on Easy difficulty, let alone Normal (I haven't even bothered to try the new Hard difficulty after the advanced edition update).

You should play it if only for the amazing music:

FTL has a big problem of being largely luck based, if the game decides "tough luck, no good weapons for you this playthough" to your face, you have to go against the final boss with pea shooters.
