okay i was trying to vaguely optimistic about this but
no
Not really sure how I feel about meganize me but heck I'll give it a try. Being a huge mega man fan and all.
what about making a megaman game?
"Hey the world clearly wants a new Mega Man game if that Mighty Number 9 kickstarter that got a bajillion dollars is anything to go by."
"HURRRRRRRRRRRRRRR MAKE A CARTOON HURRRRRRRRR."
Megaman: Sonic Boom
What happened to that Mighty No.9 CG cartoon
At least that one is faithful to the fuckin' design and all.
absolutely no
[editline]24th March 2017[/editline]
Give me a gritty Protomen-directed cartoon instead. I would accept that in anime form if that's what it takes
why the hell is it so hard to just do it, i don't know, correctly
hahahahaha meganize
i'm glad i'm not a fan of megaman. i feel bad for anyone who is, it seems like they're just getting stomped in the dirt recently between this, MN9, those awful mobile ports...
Doesn't look like a super fighting robot to me.
Isn't this supposed to be the one they mentioned a while ago that's "meant for 5-9 year old children and their parents who grew up playing Mega Man"? Aka the one that blatantly advertises an action figure line for kids while being full of "it's TOTALLY a show for adults" type memes?
Isn't there some french cartoon from the mid 2000s that was almost essentially a Megaman series in all but name
well that got taken down faster than a midget in a basketball game.
Cant be worse than the liveaction megaman fan film
This is going to turn out to be a mighty no 2
Did it get taken down?
also I really want another Starforce game. Those were my favorite growing up
The 8bit Mega Man slid over the title screen and then they played the death sound.
That's how I feel now :(
well that got taken down faster than a midget in a basketball game.
This is making all Mega Man fans cry harder than an anime fan on prom night.
You would think that the design used in Smash 4 being so popular would, you know, signify where the direction should go
Megaman: Sonic Boom
But Sonic Boom's Cartoon is actually good.
what the hell was that and why are they doing it
Mega Man: Can we make a worse cartoon than the PPG Reboot? LETS FIND OUT
what the hell was that and why are they doing it
It's a Mega Man CGI cartoon done by Man at Arms Entertainment, the studio that kicked off the Ben 10 franchise. Capcom clearly wants to revive interest in the blue bomber by any means necessary, despite putting the Archie comics series on infinite hiatus in such a way that even the writer capped off the story in a way that he knew wouldn't be getting revived. The problem with the cartoon however is that it's trying to go the Sonic Boom route of an alternate continuity with recognizable factors but a new approach. Mega Man, or Mega / Rock depending on which game and region you played with and all, is now Aki Light, a robot school kid trying to live a normal life before transforming into Mega Man to save the day. He's also got a Mega-Mini inside him for.. some reason. Info said characters like Rush and such would be appearing, but then they also said that the series was going to focus on the franchise's "memorable comedy" (???).
so yeah it's a comedy cartoon with action, because we aren't absolutely fucking flooded with those nowadays
Fuck you, Capcom.
Eat a bag of smeg-covered dicks.
I'd pay to watch the Ruby-Spears Megaman cartoon over this.
Hahaha oh my god, they're really seriously doing the little mini guy inside Mega Man thing. I thought maybe that would be a bad concept that they scrapped after the first leak got so much negative attention.
Sometimes I wonder if executives power through with a bad idea just to spite everyone else. Like, it couldn't have been more obvious that it was bad, but they're doing it anyway.
As a long time Mega Man fan, I'm still going to give this one a chance.
Why? Because as a fan, I can say that we long-standing Mega Man fans have been in this place before. Sure, Battle Network is remembered fondly now, but I think everybody was calling the first game dead on arrival because it wasn't going to be a 2D platformer.
