I'm surprised that they didn't use the actual behind the scenes stuff for the cut colossi, there are several screenshots for the monkey and spider.
Spider and Worm would have been really cool to fight.
You could make an entire series on all the stuff that's been cut from this game. Its kind of sad we only got a fraction of what they originally planned.
They didnt list the cut areas of the map that still exist in the retail version.
In the north area there is a blocked off tunnel that leads to a giant unfinished dam.
i really need to finish shadow of the colossus, but emulating it is quite a pain and my PS2 is dead

If you have a PS3 you can get the ICO + SotC bundle
It's also on PSNow if you're into that

I think the weird thing about it is that the decision for 16 feels like it came really, really, really late. There is stuff that points to like several huge parts of the landmass being cut out of the final map, with collision still intact.

i haven't got a PS3 unfortunately
I'm kinda glad we didn't have to fight spider, the water colossi cause enough anxiety for me already :v:

What is the last time you tried ? I can't see how it can be any easier than it is. Worst case scenario is you have to watch a 20 minute PCSX2 setup tutorial. If the video is longer, then they are over complicating things. Once you know what you are doing and the game is confirmed to work(and SOTC works fine) it takes like a minute. And if you have an Xbox controller the controls are already set up.
Of course your PC has to be relatively powerful, you need something like a 2013-2014 gaming PC to get stable 50/60FPS.

just check the pcsx2 wiki for it
type "shadow of the colossus pcsx2" and it should come up
it contains various fixes and solutions to problems which just takes a few minutes

Try these settings. I can run SoTC fine with 4x resolution and SweetFX shaders using that. Keep in mind that the game has a dynamic framerate and does not constantly run at a smooth fps, even if you're perfectly emulating it.

i was able to get it emulating with decent enough performance. just finished the 6th colossus
I'm curious what the worm fight would have looked like that it required such a large area.

I imagine something similar to the sand arena snake one.
But in the desert with the giant flying colossus, and you have to lure it through those sand rings to trap it / into the rocks to knock it unconscious long enough to get some damage in.
