I know if I had that amount of money to splash it definatly wouldn't be on that. Plus I know it being porcelain quadroubles the risk I might drop or smash it.

Being myself, I could never accept such a banausic act of materialism. Keep in mind what someone would buy to preserve is quite righteous of them to do but what understanding other than of a museum could give you that satisfaction and overall purpose of preserving it for.
