damn other tank didn't even have a chance
Why must they keep saying "Allah Akbar?" I mean I get why they do it, but sometimes they sound like a broken record.
Why must they keep saying "Allah Akbar?" I mean I get why they do it, but sometimes they sound like a broken record.
This again? It's just like when English speaking people say "Jesus Christ!" or "Oh my god!" Stop with this shit, because you people are literally starting to sound like a mountain of broken records.
This again? It's just like when English speaking people say "Jesus Christ!" or "Oh my god!" Stop with this shit, because you people are literally starting to sound like a mountain of broken records.
It just sounds so stupid..
It just sounds so stupid..
Because you don't understand it, why it's said, and what it means. It's normal, but come on, it shouldn't be deemed stupid right away because you don't understand it.
It also translates roughly to "YOLO"
Quick end for those guys, that concusion from the round impacting.. fuck me.
Any idea whose tank was whose?
Any idea whose tank was whose?
The destroyed one was most likely of the rebels. It was either abandoned or the crew wasn't paying attention. The rebels seem to think a tank can just be parked anywhere or driven up towards the enemy and it'll rape everything, just like how they set the zeroing of rifles to maximum range.

Background story to that would be interesting, either from a source or your own words.
The tank that fired the shot seemed to be a T-72 while the one that was destroyed looked like it could've been a T-54/55 or a T-62. But neverless, the video is pretty chilling.
http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=8a0_1350964779 somewhat related. driver starts up the engine, gets hit a second later right at where he's sitting you can see one of the crew escape from the turret aswell, doubt the driver survived tho

It actually looks like it didn't do to much damage to the tank though.
Wow I bet that hurt. It actually looks like it didn't do to much damage to the tank though.
for all we know the interior could be completely trashed.
Well based on my basic understanding on tanks and rpg's id say that the driver lived , since rpg's work by directing the blast with molten copper and as far as i can see the rpg hit the engine block.
Wow I bet that hurt. It actually looks like it didn't do to much damage to the tank though.
RPG's basically pierce a small hole in the armor, and molten copper inside the warhead totally wrecks the inside of it. EDIT: damnit stat
Also this http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=925_1345837153 Guy has balls of steel. Runs right up to a T-72, shoots an RPG at almost point blank range through the turret which blows up the ammo inside a couple of seconds later
Wow I bet that hurt. It actually looks like it didn't do to much damage to the tank though.
It probably killed a few crew members and destroyed most of the equipment inside. When an RPG hits, it sends a small jet of molten copper through the armor, that then basically turns the inside of the tank into a furnace for an instant. If the jet hits fuel or ammo, it will basically set the tank on fire or cause it to explode.
They set the zeroing of rifles to max range, really? Background story to that would be interesting, either from a source or your own words.
More power. A rifle that is deadly when set to 200 must be much more deadly at 8 or 1200. AKA they think it's more deadly at a higher number because they don't actually know what they are adjusting.
Think about this guys, How long has it been since the very last Tank on Tank battle?
Also this http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=925_1345837153 Guy has balls of steel. Those tanks can't take much can they?
Also this http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=925_1345837153 Guy has balls of steel. The perspective doesn't give proper relative indication to suggest whether or not the tank was parallel to the hit vehicle. I believe the later explosion is the tank returning fire.
Think about this guys, How long has it been since the very last Tank on Tank battle?
Iraq 2003 I guess. Not a fair fight of course
Those tanks can't take much can they?
Surplus russian shit.

I'm sure they aren't stupid enough to not realize the elevation of the rear sight changes when they set it to a higher number. And then they have AUGs that don't even have numbers on their adjustment knobs anyway.
Do you know how an AK's sight is adjusted? I'm sure they aren't stupid enough to not realize the elevation of the rear sight changes when they set it to a higher number. And then they have AUGs that don't even have numbers on their adjustment knobs anyway.
I can't find any text where it's mentioned, but a couple of veterans I know have seen this firsthand, AKs set to absurd ranges after much closer engagements, this from both Lebanon and Afghanistan. ANA soldiers have done this too, let's not forget that your average uneducated/untrained insurgent/rebel/soldier isn't really that bright. Hell, while some Norwegian special forces were attached to a ANA troop, they decided to go fishing with their RPGs because they forgot to bring food on a patrol. If you're dumb enough to start firing rpgs at fish, and a lot of the other rather obvious mistakes we can see in videos from insurgencies, you're quite likely to accept that it's a "power-gauge" because your friend told you so. If you know fuck-all about ballistics, you won't just think "oh that's obviously the bit to adjust for elevation". I can't remember the AUG being a common rebel weapon. The sight being set to the max is something that happens the most in areas where the fighters are people who decided to take to arms, not someone who already had an AUG issued to them.
Balls of steel yes, but he hit the car, not the tank, the car explodes, and you can see the car on fire at the end, and even hear the tank move at the end as well
ohhhhhh OHHHH now I see it
