This may just be me, but I thought the whole Hitman thing was supposed to be a play on traditional sexy ads, not a parody, but a twist. I didn't get aroused, and I don't think that was the intention. Side note I think RDR had one of the best depictions of life in the west 100+ years ago, I wouldn't fault it if there was at least somewhat historically accurate. Plus it had some of the best female characters in any game imo.

I don't know why she keeps going back to that game when literally everything in that game has some kind of contextual significance beyond what's on the surface.

People should go back to I think her last or 2nd last video in tropes vs gaming and remember that she brought up Ms.Pacman and Pacman having Pacman Jr out of wedlock when trying to make a point. She also likened Ms.Pacman and Pacman to Adam and Eve from religion. Also you shouldnt have cartoon aligators that all look the same and put a bow or eyelashes on it so you know its a female. Or anything that would make you assume its female. If you still think someone like that is worth listening to, then I dont know what to say.

A lot of characters in a lot of games exist solely for the setting, not the plot. Both male and female. I don't see the big deal.

I never got stuff like this. It just seems like focusing on acts in fictional media rather than the actual acts of sexism that goes on in society has a less blunt point. It would be akin to saying a book or painting representing acts in a real war is a bigger atrocity than the actual events in the war.

I appreciate that she's being less snarky than she was in her previous videos, I mean this time around she's refrained from the sarcastic jokes and her movements are way less 'animated' so it doesn't distract from her points. As for said points, I agree that it's a bit garbage in games like GTA or Watch Dogs where you only ever see the girl needing to get rescued from the abusive guy (stuff like AC and Red Dead don't count as it makes sense for the time period) but I disagree/am conflicted on all her other points though.

That point is completely moot. Cant say much about watch_dogs, stopped playing pretty fast. Roman is getting abused by guys throughout all of GTAIV and you are always rescuing his ass and taking him on fucking dates. Also GTA has been satire, its making fun of that shit but with there own twist. That has always been the intention. Also that girl in GTA:SA pretty much rapes you. She is also fucking crazy and shes the last person needing any saving. I forget her name, shes the one in that shack in the hills. I was wrong to use GTA as an example. Point still stands for other series though; I mean you are rescuing guys, but even then you're only ever saving them from other guys rather than female assailants. I'm not a feminist or SJW or anything but I guess I'd just like to see more women taking the role of the abusive criminal (e.g. the previous GTA examples you brought up) rather than it always being the sleazy guy beating up on the woman. As I mentioned in my previous post, however, games that take place in an older time period are exempt as it makes sense in the context of the setting.

Also that Watch Dogs example was terrible, Aiden is a Vigilante who stops crime, in her video she's just standing there watching scene play out, completely missing the point of the game
